Sally tells Adam to enjoy his time (however long or short that is) in the big chair – prove you’re the best person for this job.

Vikki admits that her Father’s connections and outreach are vast. He’d use them to prevent his daughter from raising capital to start a new company? Ashland can’t believe she put up with his interference for so long – but are you sure you’re ready to leave your family behind?

Billy appreciates Chelsea’s candor – he’ll insert some jokes into his podcast. Lily joins them to guess the constructive criticism was that the podcast could use some ‘levity’. He’s one of the funniest guys I know, Chelsea laughs with Lily. Billy decides to listen to the two smart ‘n savvy women.

Vikki knew about the press conference and doesn’t seem to care that Adam replaced her. So, Nick isn’t sure she’ll come running back and wonders if his Dad’s lies will bring the family back together. On cue, Adam arrives at Society (with Sally)

Vikki’s sure she’s doing the right thing. Good, Ashland thinks it time she stand up for herself – the family deserves whatever they get. Vikki knows exactly what she’s doing. As Ashland unpacks the food, she looks sly.

Joining in on a few laughs, Lauren takes Chelsea to the patio to talk business. Lily’s left to give Billy a pep talk about his podcast.

After making it very clear that she just came from having a nooner, Lauren agrees she’s lucky to be married to the love of her life. She then relays that Gloria sensed tension between Chelsea and Chloe.

Ashland and Vikki will go through their list of investors. My Father’s influence outweighs ours, she admits. When Ashland continues to grumble about Victor’s sabotage, Vikki again suggests they forget about investors and fund the venture themselves. Ashland finally agrees – me and my money are all in.

If this has to do with Newman, Sally and I should be in the loop, Adam says. When Nick congratulates them on their promotions, Adam accuses him of only caring about Vikki’s wellbeing; you don’t give a damn about the family business. That might be changing, Nick says. Focused on his phone, Victor doesn’t even look up as Adam and Sally excuse themselves to go take a seat. What did you mean by your last remark? Victor apparently was paying attention the whole time.

Gloria’s being Gloria, Chelsea tells Lauren not to give it a second thought. As for what Summer wants to see Chelsea about, Lauren knows but won’t say anything. As Lauren oohs and ahh’s over designs on her tablet, Chelsea’s focus is Billy (inside with Lily)

Never mind leasing just a floor of some building, Vikki wants to buy their own building. Ashland loves the way they look at the world the same way, as something to be devoured. We’re so close to recpaturing the magic. Closer than you can imagine, Vikki smiles.

Nick didn’t mean anything, his comment was just a kneejerk reaction to Adam. Victor’s noticed Nick’s increased interest in the company. Adam only cares about running NE, not Vikki; Nick just wants to give him something to worry about.

Ashland’s on the phone – he wants to buy a whole building. Yes,that sounds like it might work. ‘Everything’s coming together’, Vikki sends a quick text to an undisclosed number (likely Victor)
