Vikki’s replaced Adam’s framed photos with her own as Nikki strolls into the office to note that her name’s back on the door. And out comes the portrait. Ashland’s out of our lives for good, Vikki’s sure.
At Society, Billy goads Adam until he agrees that his back’s to the wall. And that’s when I’m most dangerous, he warns before leaving. Whoa, Chelsea appears to ask Billy what that was about. Eavesdropping, Stannis sends Ashland a text – big argument between Adam and Billy.
Sally pauses her jog in the park to ignore Chloe’s messages/calls and reach out to Adam instead. Call me back, she hangs up. Jack heard her say ‘counter-moves’. He tells Sally that he’s fond of Adam and pleased for both of them.
Nick explains to Sharon how Vikki’s plan succeeded. She wants me to come work with her at NE. Sharon wonders what Nick returning to Newman would mean for Adam.
Nick assumes that Adam will go back to Newman Media (since Vikki’s been reinstated as NE’s CEO) Mom thinks she’ll want me as her COO. Seeing that he’s conflicted, Sharon tells Nick to follow her – we’ll figure this out.
Mother and daughter stand back to admire the portrait; now ‘back where it belongs’. Nikki ‘absolutely’ will resume her role as COO. Both hope the family will be working together (including Nick) There is one wild card, Nikki purses her lips.
Ashland sends Stannis a text; thanks for the tip. On the CL’s patio, he tells Adam that he’s in town to collect some belongings from Vikki’s house. You’ve been ‘kicked to the curb’ too, Ashland assumes Vikki’s back on her ‘throne’.
In the park, Sally and Jack talk about Vikki returning to the CEO job. Adam will likely return to Newman Media. Sally’s not sure where that leaves her but just wants what’s best for her and Adam.
Back on the patio, Ashland rants about Vikki’s coup. He has to admire the way she played the game (and him) She played us both to get exactly what she wanted, he tells Adam.
Chelsea and Billy take a table at Society. Crediting their conversation with bringing her clarity, she’d like to do something for him in return.
