At Society, Victor orders a tequila for Noah. He thinks he’s found another location for his nightclub but going back to when he asked his grandfather about Top of the Tower, Noah wonders why he didn’t mention Ashland’s death.

In the park, Vikki thanks Nate for the nice voicemail he left after Ashland died. They agree he was a bastard. She just wants to move on. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, Nate replies.

Able to relate to the challenges of working with family, Vikki’s sure Devon and Lily realize how lucky they are to have Nate onboard. He hopes they feel that way.

Noah thinks Ashland’s death would have come up – unless there’s a reason for it not to. Your instincts are right, Victor admits. Everything will be alright. He only does things to protect his family. Yes, Noah trusts his grandfather, with his life. They fist bump then clinks glasses. Cheers.

Back at the ranch, Nikki wants to take the ‘wait and see’ approach. Newman Media’s coverage of the family should be respectful. Frustrated, Nick told Sally to do her job as she sees fit. He must now go tell her to ‘curtail’ coverage of Ashland’s death.

Sally’s not interested in playing games with the ‘cruel’ Adam. She won’t beg and barter to be treated with decency. Nick never told me anything, I have no insider info. Now you don’t have to eke out a few kind words to me. I’m starting not to give a damn anyway, she leaves Adam to look sad.

After a brief update on Amanda and Dom, Lily asks Devon about one of their acts being double booked. Yeah, Nate made a decision without approval. He was angry about being called out on it and had the nerve to accuse me of feeling threatened by him.

At Society for take out, Chance warns Adam to stop trying to get people to implicate his Dad in Ashland’s death. Let it go. Adam saw him talking to Sally – I know what makes her tick and can get her to tell you what she knows – IF we team up. Whaddaya say?

Happy to find Vikki working hard in her office, Victor came to see how she is. She’s worried about Nick; he’s worried about you getting arrested. He inherited your protective nature. Victor feels that Nick needs to relax and be patient. That’s never been his strength, Vikki sighs.

Nick drops by Sally’s office to say that more information will be coming out soon. My whole family will be dragged through the mud. Sally can ease Nick’s mind – Newman Media won’t be sensationalizing the Locke story.

Devon whines to Lily about Nate pulling the trigger – again, without his approval. No, he’s not ‘overstating’ things. Nate has good ideas but no business experience. Devon wishes he’d taken that into consideration before going along with Lily’s idea to hire him. WE will figure it out, Lily assures. We have to – things can’t continue like this, Devon concludes.

Nick assumes Sally’s not publishing the story because Victor pressured her. No, that’s not the reason. Basically, she doesn’t want to sensationalize things that should remain private. NM will publish the facts and move on. Are you prepared for criticism of that approach? Nick’s amused when Sally quips; Criticism? I dunno, that’ll be a totally new experience for me. Nick thinks it cool that she’s on the same page as the family. We’re on the same team, Sally won’t make a name for herself at the Newmans expense.

You’re a real piece of work! A pissed off Chance sits to assure Adam that they won’t be collaborating on this or any other investigation. He lambastes his treatment of Sally and for wallowing in his character flaws. Get a life, find a better direction. If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for your son. This is as good as I get, Adam’s again left looking unhappy.

My Thoughts: What on earth possessed Billy to ask Chelsea to do a podcast with him? Since Nate promised something like 50 new podcasts, couldn’t he have given her a podcast of her own? Hard to imagine anyone willingly listening to the inane banter of this pair. The only question now is whether Lily will lose Billy to Vikki or Chelsea …. Nick sure does seem appreciative of Sally (and her assets) Looks like he’ll be getting Adam’s leftovers for once… Of course Devon’s not threatened by Nate; he’s a billionaire.
