In TGP lounge, Tucker’s impressed that Daniel plans to give Lily a week to come up with something. No, he doesn’t have a lot of business experience so needs to align himself with someone he can trust completely. Unlike me, Tucker chuckles as he clinks Daniel’s glass.

Adam was just about to thank Nick for sharing a plan of Dad’s, even if his motives were self-serving. Nick hopes the information is put to good use. We’re just trying to keep our Father from causing trouble. Noticing that Sally’s off, Adam’s left suspicious when Nick hurries her out to discuss whatever her OBGYN said on the phone.
Back at CL’s, Devon isn’t buying Vikki’s friendly concern. You mentioned Tucker, CW and the IPO in one conversation – come clean; what do you really want?
Daniel admits that he and Tucker share common ground. His pitch struck a chord so he talked to his Mom about it. No, it didn’t go well – but it’s HIS decision. Phyllis can be…. bossy? Tucker was going to say formidable. Asked to back off to give Lily her week, Tucker never gives up; though he does believe in ‘trust the universe and all that’. Sorry, what did you say? Daniel’s intensity catches Tucker off-guard.
Abby initially tried to nudge Devon to accept Lily’s compromise but now sees his point of view. What she doesn’t understand is why Lily (and Jill) won’t let Devon buy his company back. It says more about your priorities than his. Lily now seems to have forgotten all but forcing Abby to share her opinion – how dare you question my priorities?
Who are you to tell me that I care more about my business than my family? Lily’s indignant. Jill won’t drop the IPO and having already lost Nate, Lily wants to work with her brother. If you think Devon might regret walking away, please tell him that, she implores of Abby.
Vikki DOES consider Devon as a friend. We’re connected by Abby and Dom. If you see everyone with a differing business agenda as you an enemy, your circle will become increasingly small. As she places her order, Devon leaves to think about what Vikki’s said.
Heather used to tell Daniel to trust the universe every time he grew impatient. Yes, he misses her – but he’s going to take her and Tucker’s advice. He’s trusting the universe. And Phyllis – that’s why she’s going to Portugal; the universe needs a boost sometimes.
