Marching into Vikki’s office, Nick’s glad she didn’t deactivate his security badge. He’s there to make sure his support team landed on their feet after she pulled the rug out from under them.

Adam enters CL’s ordering mass lay offs at McCall. C’est la vie, he snarls. Overhearing, Sharon looks stunned.

Summer hugs her Mom in the park – let’s run away to somewhere we can’t be extradited to – there’s nothing here for me anymore – we can do fashion vlogs.

Jack and Diane have organized a family meeting – with only Traci and Billy.

At Society, Ashley and Tucker are sure (but not surprised) that Jack and Diane are up to something. Tucker places a small gift box on the table – a secret weapon/wedding gift.

Sally lurks on the patio as Sharon remarks on Adam putting people out of work. He’s doing what he must to take over Newman Media and fold it into his newly renamed company, Adustus International. Not caring about her baking to business analogy, he saunters out. You can come out now, Sharon calls out to Sally.

Vikki’s given Nick’s staff other duties while he’s taking time off to recover – Dad’s OK with it. She’s stunned to hear that he wants Nick to work with Adam.

Jack’s intentionally left Ashley out of the family meeting because she let the press announce that she’s started a new company. The press alerted us to Diane’s promotion, Traci points out. Jack wants to protect Jabot at all costs. Kyle comes home to wonder what the family meeting’s about.

Thanked for her card and flowers, Sharon finds it sad that Sally and Adam can’t grieve together. He’s back to wheeling and dealing; playing God with people’s lives, Sally quickly leaves.

Ashley opens the box to find a card with a phone number on it – he’s the key to bringing Phyllis home. He’s closing in on the EMT who survived Phyllis’ ambulance crash. He overheard Mike talking about this Carson guy. He’ll keep Phyllis out of lock up – she’ll owe us (and can take Diane down)

Harrison’s sad and trying to be brave, Summer loves him like he’s her own. Kyle hates me. He’ll come around, Phyllis feels kind of responsible. You absolutely are, Summer confirms.
