Updated on some business matters by Nate, Nikki wonders why Audra wants to meet her. That leaves Vikki to disappoint Nate – she’s not sure the merger is worth discussing.
Phyllis updates the kids that the Judge believed her. No, I’m not going to prison; I’m free. She doesn’t understand their reaction. Summer and Daniel aren’t angry – they’re just done.

Lauren watches on as Summer and Daniel tell Phyllis that they’re done with her. I’m going to change, Phyllis insists. Summer will need to see proof of that. Yes, Daniel feels the same way; you’re colluding with Tucker and Adam – and they think Carson lied. More grievances are aired. Cake and champagne will NOT make everything better.
Lauren supports her BFF – meet your Mom half way. Phyllis will prove that she’s changed. Everything she’s done was to protect the family. You destroyed my life; I lost my marriage and Harrison, Summer wails. ‘Bye Mom’, she and Daniel leave Phyllis in tears.
Returning to Newman Towers, Nikki tells Nate that Audra’s also touting a merger; odd that you two are in agreement. Nate hasn’t talked to Audra. He won’t bring it up again.
Adam talking to Audra makes Sharon suspicious. She ‘warns’ him – we’re on the verge of something great. I’ll be damned if I’ll let your vendetta against your sister mess this up!
Summer and Daniel complain about their Mom over drinks in the jazz lounge. Summer repeats that she’ ‘done’ and needs to focus on her own life.
That was fun, Phyllis mopes over her cake. Lauren raises her glass to toast her BFF. The kids love you so much – they’re pushing you to change.
Adam swears that his only focus is their new endeavor. Suspecting that he wants to sabotage the competition, Sharon’s told that she worries too much. See you later, Adam marches out.
Nikki tells Vikki that Audra pushing the merger is so similar to Nate that she suspects ‘those two are up to something’.
In Audra’s suite, Nate’s pissed – what did you say to Nikki? I told you I’d handle her. She doesn’t trust either of us. The merger’s not happening. I’m screwed; I’ll lose everything, Audra whines.
Next Week: Sally turns up at Adam’s apartment. Happy housewarming, she has a gift …. We have bigger problems – Nate and Audra, Nikki tells Victor… Abby thinks the bride looks a bit anxious. My Thoughts: Is this really where we’re at? Are the writers on the picket line and the show’s script is hammered out by a baboon on a typewriter? Why does Audra think she’ll lose everything? She’d just be knocked down a peg; to where she was before being NM’s CEO. And what is ‘everything’? she stands to lose? She lives in a hotel room. Who cares if Newman Media merges with Adustus? And Adam would be sued if he tried to rename his company Newman Media …. Unless I misheard (and miss-typed) Nate sent Audra to handle Nikki, then blasts her for doing so …. I can’t muster any sympathy for Phyllis but it doesn’t make sense for Daniel and Summer to shun her now. They JUST saw how their Mom spirals when shunned and regretted being so harsh when Phyllis ‘died’.
