In her suite, Summer gets a text from her Mom – meet me in the park. Daniel comes knocking – he too got a text. Neither are eager to go.
Phyllis chats with Lauren in the park, where she’s set up a table for family and friends, to celebrate her freedom.
At CL’s, Adam and Sharon are still searching for office space for the three CEO’s, Mariah and Phyllis. Adam wants to change the name ‘Adustus’ to Newman Media. So what if it’s already taken.
Nate’s in Audra’s suite. They need to get the Newmans onboard with merging Newman Media with Adustus. Adam’s threatening to release the incriminating emails. You’re asking a lot of me, Nate complains – he’s walking a fine line. If things start to go sideways, he’s out.
In the office, Nikki and Vikki mention Nick being on a trip and what to make of Nate supporting the merger. They agree that he’s testing the waters to make a ‘power play’.
Nikki’s pleasantly surprised that Vikki agrees with her (though she sees nothing wrong with Nate’s ambition) When Dad gets back from Europe, they’ll discuss merging the two media companies. Nikki wonders how Audra fits in – and questions where Nate’s loyalties lie.

Still at CL’s, Adam’s determined to acquire Newman Media, and has a feeling his Dad will agree. Audra’s timely arrival (and the look she and Adam exchange) makes Sharon suspicious – what are you up to??
At the revolving door, Summer tells Daniel that Tucker brought Carson to town – he’s blackmailing Mom. He observes a change in his sister. She’s found new ways to cope – let’s do this; let’s go tell Mom we’re done.
Seated at the pretty table, Lauren and Phyllis are happy to be reunited. You and Mike are the best friends in the world, Phyllis gushes. Champagne time!
The cake and fancy cookies untouched, Phyllis vows to be a changed woman. Summer and Daniel watch from a distance as their Mom vows to live a new kind of life now that she’s free.
Sharon’s not impressed when Adam excuses himself to whisper with Audra on the patio. He’s losing his patience. Get Nikki onboard with the merger!
