Get the hell away from her! What did you do to her!? Mariah shouts at Ian (who claims he only tried to help the still whoozy Tessa)

In the jazz lounge, Danny’s telling the Baldwins that nothing could keep him away from the love of his life.

Also in the lounge, Jack and Diane reflect on the year that almost brought them to their knees. The worst is behind us – 2025 is a fresh start. To our future, they drink.

Outside Society, Mariah helps Tessa to her feet – what did you do to her?! she repeats. Your wife collapsed in my arms, Ian lies. Arriving with her Dad, Faith recognizes Ian. What the hell are you doing here? Nick snarls.

On the dancefloor (along with the Abbotts and the Baldwins) Chris is thrilled that Danny can stay in town for a few days. She has a suite upstairs where he can lay his big, beautiful head.

* As you probably realized, the show aired ‘classic’ episodes over the holidays. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and/or New Years Eve.

Tessa’s horrified to learn that her Reverend friend is Ian Ward. He didn’t break out of prison; he’s reformed/transformed, became ordained and decided to resettle in GC – I come in peace. Call the police, Nick tells Faith after ordering Ian to stay put.

Lauren talks to Mike about Phyllis leaving in a huff; it hurts her to see Danny with Chris. She’ll forgive you when there’s justice for Heather, she’s optimistic. Mike would rather focus on his gorgeous wife.

Gross, Daniel interrupts his Dad and Chris kissing after walking Summer up to her suite. Chris heads up to her suite, leaving father and son to chat. How are you really doing? Not so good, Daniel admits.

Stay the hell away from us! Mariah shouts at Ian as she and Tessa follow Faith inside – leaving Nick to glare at him.

After Jack takes Lauren off for a dance, Diane has unfinished business to discuss with Mike. He’s not happy that she lied to him about fighting with Jack. She hopes once he hears her motive, he’ll forgive her.

A year ago, Daniel was debating with Lucy and Heather whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Helping Lucy cope is the only thing that keeps him going. Mom’s been a rock for us, he then tells his Dad everything else he’s got on his plate (Heather’s killer still being out there, not having a job etc) It’s more than ‘a lot’ – it’s ‘too much’.

Ian swears that he’s a changed man who is seeking redemption by helping others, in hopes that his good acts will one day outweigh the bad. Perhaps this will convince you, he reaches into his jacket but is stopped by Nick, who scowls ‘don’t try anything’.
