What’s up cuz? Devon joins Nate at Society’s bar to report that he, Abby and Dom are doing well. No, it’s not ‘all over’ – Mariah could face serious consequences.
With Mariah at the outdoor cafe, Chris talks her into taking her sunglasses off. The Judge let you out on bail; you have every right to be here. Mariah has this feeling in her gut that she shouldn’t be – that this was a mistake.
At CL’s, Nikki hugs Noah and hears from him and Sharon that Nick’s in a lot of pain. On cue, Nick appears, carrying his cane with no sign of a limp. You made a fast recovery, Sharon’s surprised.
At the ranch, Adam hasn’t heard from his Dad all day. When Vikki arrives to say that Phyllis is off the radar too, Chelsea wonders if one disappearance is connected to the other.
Nick didn’t go to the ranch because his Dad’s not there. Victor’s not replying to anyone, Nikki’s annoyed and concerned that he’s working on some plan (he keeps them secret for a reason)
Victoria, Chelsea and Adam are all concerned. Victoria hates seeing her Dad so vulnerable. She and Adam agree that it’s their time to fight for him. We have to stop Dad before he does something we’ll all regret.
Back at Society, Nate’s glad to hear that Dom never felt he was in danger. Devon and Abby are still angry about what Mariah put them through. We love her – but something clearly snapped. She came to the house to apologize and seemed sincere, but Devon can’t be sure she’s no longer a threat.
Mariah’s afraid of running into Abby, Devon or Tessa (who brings Aria at the park all the time) Chris is supportive, then very alarmed to hear that Mariah went to Devon and Abby’s.
Victoria shares her plan to neutralize Phyllis by making her kids OUR allies. It will ‘gut’ her. That woman deserves what’s coming! We need to get the company back for Dad, she tells Adam and Chelsea.
Nick tells his Mom about his chat with Phyllis at the club – she blames Dad and doesn’t think she’s done anything wrong. I told her no one will forgive her, including Daniel and Summer. Nikki doesn’t think Phyllis cares what her kids think; she has no sense of right or wrong.
Nate’s surprised Mariah came to the house. Devon’s surprised that a judge let her out. It’s a tough pill to swallow.
Mariah needed Devon and Abby to know how sorry she is. A frustrated Chris explains that Mariah taking responsibility undermines her defense (that she wasn’t responsible) Please don’t do anything without consulting me. Mariah’s whining about the trial being a whole month away when Abby appears (holding Dom’s hand)
Phyllis isn’t a bad person – she’s been an amazing mother to Summer, Nick’s not trying to make excuses for her but she’s been ‘out of sorts’ since Martin held her hostage – and she’s always felt ‘slighted’. Both he and Sharon tried to talk Phyllis out of it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Nikki gets a text from Victoria – gotta go. Sharon and Noah again remark on Nick being pain free. He found a pill in his car – must have fallen out of his pocket, he lies.
Mariah didn’t cause Dom harm but she played mind games with him, Devon tells Nate that she called him Bowie and talked about him being in her belly; that she was his Mommy too etc. etc. Devon’s not onboard with Mariah being sentenced to a psychiatric hospital instead of prison.
Look Mom – it’s my hide and seek friend, Dom’s excited. It’s me, Bowie. We need to go home now, Abby decides. Dom tells Mariah that he’s sorry he ruined their game by getting tired.
Nikki comes home to ask Victoria if everything’s OK. Your father’s disappeared, she’s starting to worry.
Nate doesn’t blame Devon for feeling conflicted; he can’t diagnose Mariah but it IS medically possible that she didn’t know what she was doing. What if she runs into us and seeing Dom triggers her? Devon worries.
