Shuffling a deck of cards, Adam’s on the phone with a blogger who published an article entitled: Handcuffed and hoisted by their own petard by the king of takedown, Victor Newman. Great mug shots! When Chelsea arrives at the ranch, Adam reports that he’s waiting for his father – who’s in a meeting with Chris. She seems concerned that Billy might be arrested too.
At the outdoor cafe, Noah leaves his grandpa another message asking for an update on Matt. Sienna’s worried he’s coming after us. Audra appears to ask what’s wrong (as she knows Noah so well)
Nick’s in the foyer talking to Christian on the phone as Phyllis chats with her new friend at the bar. Cheers to finding yourself, she clinks Matt’s glass. As she answers a text, Matt turns around to look at Nick without recognition.
At the cafe for some zen tea for Sienna and his Mom, Noah takes a sip of Audra’s tea and a seat. Do you have a thing for Kyle? he wonders.
Pouring himself a drink, Adam tells Chelsea that Billy’s not innocent. She worries he might get charged (and how that will affect Katie and Johnny) Adam’s only sure that Cane and Phyllis will go to prison and they’ll get the Newman back. ‘She’ll see she has a losing hand and fold’. Chelsea warns that if the evidence is fabricated this could blow up in all the Newmans’ faces.
Nick’s still on the phone as Phyllis tells Matt that GC is nice but people can be judgemental. He’d hate it if people had preconceived notions about him – ha ha. I’m Phyllis, she introduces herself. ‘You certainly are’, Matt delivers the line of the day and exits without crossing paths with Nick.
Nick walks right past Phyllis. Victoria does the same as she goes to sit with him. How was Vegas? Mom was guarded and wouldn’t tell her anything.
As Adam pours himself another drink, Chelsea isn’t sure Cane and Phyllis would be stupid enough to leave a trail and hopes Adam would intervene if Billy was arrested. Adam doesn’t know anything about the emails and is annoyed that Chelsea’s defending Billy again.
Audra never wanted Kyle but may have indirectly had something to do with his breakup; Claire’s holding a grudge – she’s still the psycho who tried to murder your family. Noah decides it’s a good time to go order his tea – which is good timing, because here comes Matt.
Now at the office, Phyllis rants about being blasted by Cane and then Nick. Lauren finally gets a sentence out; Houston, we have a problem.
Nick tells Victoria about Risa, Matt’s partner. He used my phone to lure Noah and Sharon into a trap – he blew up a gas station thinking we were inside. Sienna killed Matt – maybe. There’s another reason Mom’s upset – I’m addicted to drugs.
Chelsea’s not stupid; your father wouldn’t keep you in the dark about this ‘evidence’. Adam’s saved when Risa calls (though he’s too friendly for Chelsea’s liking) Why did you call? Adam asks. No way – that’s not going to happen, he’s firm.
Mitch? What are you doing here? Audra surprises Matt. You sonofabitch! Noah runs out to grab him.
Phyllis is ‘struggling to keep it together’. Lauren tells her that the Texas deal fell through – four other deals are likely following. We’re being frozen out. Phyllis is sure the Newmans are behind it.
As Chelsea notes the cards splayed out on the table, Adam continues to use gambling metafores. No, he won’t change his mind. Good bye, Risa. Chelsea asks how far he got into his Spyder role with her in Vegas.
