Claire takes Holden’s phone from him – we aren’t here to sight-see. He admits that it’s ‘kinda terrifying’ to have this new family. It’s OK to be vulnerable, she’s supportive.

Lily and Cane continue to bond ‘n banter over their shared history (seems she was prone to ‘catastrophizing’) He enjoys making her laugh; she doesn’t hate him. How DO you feel about me? Cane prods.

Sorry, Phyllis denies recognizing Matt’s description and does NOT think he should go talk to the Newmans. I’m in a tiny black box with no air and light – Matt hopes someone in this world cares about him. Phyllis will figure this out and help him – hang on a bit longer. Matt thanks her for being his friend. Looking mildly guilty, she leaves.

Explaining her own journey with her new-found family, Claire’s soon crying on Holden’s shoulder – she misses her Dad.

Lily will call Cane as seen as she gets an update in NY – thanks for doing this for Malcolm. Believe this will all work out and it will, Cane promises.

The Newman brothers aren’t seeing eye to eye. Adam’s sure Phyllis will give them Matt AND the company. Otherwise, she goes to prison. Nick’s focused on Matt and suspects Phyllis is up to something.

Joining the Baldwins at the bar, Phyllis is warned that she’s playing with fire. Are you ready to accept Victor’s terms? She refuses to give up the company. When she reports that Matt’s scared (not evil or dangerous) Lauren yelps – OMG – he’s getting to you!

When Victor joins them, Nick and Adam continue to disagree about including Newman in the deal with Phyllis. Matt wants to see my family dead! Nick won’t budge.

Rub my feet, Cane jokes. I’m going to be OK – go be with Malcolm, he tells Lily.

Claire apologizes to Holden – you’re the one who needs comforting. Near tears, Holden can’t remember the last time he cried. He now has hope that he might come to love his Dad as Claire did hers. They kiss.
