Looking out of Holden’s window, Claire wonders why he didn’t take the room with a view of the Statue of Liberty. He’s such a gentleman. Stephanie arrives to update that Cane’s stem cells have been harvested and en route.
Lily brings Cane into his bedroom on the train, They banter about him being a big baby. He doesn’t want to take more pain meds – I can see how people get hooked on] them.
Nick meets his dealer in the park and wastes no time washing down a pill.
At the club’s bar, Mike updates Lauren that Victor will have Chris drop the charges if Phyllis gives him Matt Clark and Newman.
Phyllis is in Matt’s suite with donuts, fresh clothes and a burner phone – it’s best you stay low. He’s having memory ‘flashes’ and is suspicious that she wants something from him.
After removing Cane’s shoes and checking his temperature, Lily finally draws the line at peeling grapes – but does agree to stay a while.
His nerves showing, Holden will be meeting Charlie (who lives in NY) Stephanie can see her son’s in good hands (with Claire) Hugging Holden, she’ll let him know when he can visit Malcolm, post-surgery.
Over coffee with Lauren, Mike thinks Phyllis went into this thinking she’d get to hand Matt over and keep the company. He doesn’t think that will happen but IS sure Victor can convince Chris to drop the charges.
Get it together, Nick coaches himself on the porch before taking a pill and meeting Adam inside. Dad’s meeting with security and there’s no evidence Phyllis really does know where Matt is, Adam’s not sold.
Phyllis might just be a good person who knows what it’s like to be down on ones luck – she’s paying it forward. Feeling cooped up, Matt wants to go on a walk. Phyllis isn’t having it.
Phyllis calms Matt down – we don’t know what the Newmans have against you. Lay low until we can find out. Stay in this room – tell me about these ‘flashes’. When Matt describes Nick, Phyllis knows it.
Annoyed (and thirsty) Nick tells Adam that their Dad’s making it too complicated – we need to just exchange Matt for dropping the charges. Adam isn’t ready to forget retaking the company.
