No one wants me here, Matt reasons. Patty does. You’re flirting with me – it feels nice – thank you. Declaring herself healthy and healed, Patty offers to arrange ‘safe passage’ for Matt; trust me. I just rescued you! Why DID you rescue me? he’s suspicious.

Nikki joins Mike at the club’s bar. Day drinking? You must be having quite the day too. Mike’s had a revelation while he’s been licking his wounds and day drinking. The loss of NE has damaged Victor’s psyche; he’s broken and doesn’t realize who’s getting hurt. He does but he doesn’t care, Nikki corrects.

Claire and Holden are still at it.

Leaving Society, Jack tells Kyle that he dropped the bomb on Nikki. He embellished for maximum impact – telling her that Victor masterminded EVERYTHING. It’s probably true but he still feels guilty. That said, if it causes Nikki to walk away from Victor for good, he’s done right by his friend.

Nikki and Mike disagree on whether Victor’s putting his company over family. YOU are his family; losing you has left a bigger void than losing the company. Right or wrong, Victor did what he did to get Chancellor back for YOU. He believes that Jack’s hubris almost cost you your life and every time you defend him is like a dagger in Victor’s heart.

Just because Phyllis stabbed you in the back doesn’t mean I will, Patty objects. Needing to be careful who he aligns himself with, Matt’s not convinced that Patty’s recovered. Near tears, Patty would never betray him.

Phyllis continues to rant about having lost her leverage. Nick came to me privately to make a deal that didn’t involve giving back the company. That’s risky, Lauren has another option that doesn’t involve people getting killed.

Getting up for a drink. Claire models Holden’s leather jacket. He’ll shower, go see Malcolm, then take her out for dinner. I’ll need that jacket back. Tossing it to him, Claire’s wearing nothing but a smile as Holden goes to take a shower.

You and I are in the same position. We’re both pariahs who regret our past and want to prove we’re redeemed, Patty implores. If you want to redeem yourself why wouldn’t YOU turn me in? Matt asks. Have I ever, EVER given you a reason not to trust me? she’s hurt.
