Lauren’s option is to surrender. Give Victor the company back and he’ll get Chris to drop the charges. Near tears, Phyllis won’t give up Summers Conglomerate. You’ve lost your children – is it worth risking your freedom? Lauren asks. Yes – Phyllis will never give up.
Victor blew up Jack’s life, Nikki tells Mike that she’s exhausted and doubts she and Victor can come back from this.
You look so hot in that jacket, Claire praises. He thanks her with a kiss. I’ll be back soon. She’ll be waiting (in bed)
This company can’t mean more than your kids and freedom, Lauren’s also emotional – you’re so much more than Summer’s Conglomerate. Mike marches in shouting for his hot woman (before seeing Phyllis) What am I interrupting? Phyllis has lost her leverage and has a big decision to make, Lauren explains.
Jack and Kyle come home to a bouquet of flowers. Maybe they’re from Mom. Jack reads the card – ‘thinking of you – hope you have reason to reach out to me soon – with love’, Patty.
No, you haven’t given me reason not to trust you – yet, Matt admits. I’d never hurt you, Patty swears. Insisting that it’s best for everyone if he”s alone, Matt thanks her and leaves.
Still in bed, Claire takes a call from her Mom and says that her trip’s been nothing like she expected – but in the best possible way.
She lost Matt, it’s over, Lauren tells Mike – then tells Phyllis it’s time to accept defeat.
The calm before the storm, Jack worries – what have I unleashed?? Patty’s up to something – he tells Kyle that he must find out what before it’s too late.
After everything I’ve done for him! A furious Patty will show Matt what a mistake he’s made. She calls Victor – I heard you were looking for someone named Matt Clark?
Next Week: Mom hasn’t been to the office in two days – her bed hasn’t been slept in – none of this is normal, Kyle frets to his Dad … In her suite, Nikki’s in pain. This headache – I thought it went away but it’s back, she moans to a worried Victoria … His back to Sharon, Victor, Noah and Sienna, Nick’s on his phone. Sweating and in agony, he alarms them by suddenly passing out.
My Thoughts: Considering how young and hot Claire and Holden are it’s shocking how un-sexy they are as a couple. The abs, the long legs, the dimples – yet absolutely no chemistry. They’re downright awkward – cringeworthy. The little time Holden was vertical, he spent walking backwards… Yeah, sure, Nick feels lucky to have Jack in his life. He had no trouble shrugging off his Dad sabotaging his former stepdad’s marriage (and potentially his sobriety)…Have I ‘ever, EVER’ given you a reason not to trust me? Patty asks as if she’s known Matt for 5 decades instead of 5 minutes…. Lauren telling Phyllis to ‘accept defeat’ is probably the worst way to try to convince her. Why not suggest they make a deal with Victor to secure themselves executive roles in a subsidiary of Newman Enterprises? Or funds to start a new company – or anything other than ‘accept defeat’!
