Diane’s frustrated that none of the passwords she tries unlock the phone she found.

Jack’s alarmed to find the dining room table set for a breakfast feast. Good morning sweetheart, how did you sleep? Patty comes in wearing an apron and carrying bubbly for Mimosas.

Jack’s late – he’s going to grab coffee on the way to the office. He was up all night worrying that Patty would slip into his bed. She had a great sleep and gave Mrs Martinez the day off. She also had Jack’s assistant change his schedule. Jack’s lost his appetite and patience – letting you move in was a mistake.

After a horseback ride, Claire’s happy to hear that Victor plans to create a new publishing department. Let’s talk about it over brunch, she needs ‘grandpa time’.

Having done an MRI, the doctor tells Nikki that there’s a mass pressing on her optic nerve. If not treated, it could lead to total blindness. Nikki looks at Victoria in distress.

Victor will meet Claire at the club after he makes some calls (and answers one coming in) Claire murmurs to herself – with any luck, I won’t be alone.

Patty promises that no harm has/will come to Diane – sit and enjoy this beautiful meal I made. Obediently sitting, Jack will have straight OJ (while Patty has a Mimosa) She’s arranged for Jack to meet the doctor treating Diane – feel free to thank me.

Hearing the dogs barking, Diane hides the phone under sofa cushions and greets Laurence. She asks to tag along next time he goes for a run.

We’re going to meet Diane’s doctor today? Here? Jack would rather go check out the clinic but will stay home for the meeting. Patty clinks Jack’s glass – this will work out great. No need to get all huffy. Apologizing, Jack hopes to get good news.

The doctor tells Nikki that surgery could be challenging – the operation itself might lead to blindness. Consider radiation. Nikki’s stunned. This cannot be happening.
