Flirting, Diane tells Markham to get comfortable and get started on the red pepper canapes while she makes dinner. After she goes to the kitchen, Markham calls Patty to whine about her not meeting him – this situation needs to change, he ends his voicemail as Kyle listens.
Patty spritzes herself with perfume, turns some sexy music on and flashes back to her romp on the yacht. We’re meant to be, she fondles his robe.
Downstairs, Jack sends Kyle a text – are you in the house yet? I’m ready for you, Patty calls down. Jack stomps upstairs.
Eating the canapes, Markham declares them delicious and pours Diane a glass of wine. He has very strong feelings for the ‘stunning’ Diane. I’m also resourceful, Diane thinks he should lay down. Already? You’re incredible, Markham’s thrilled. You’re falling asleep standing up, Diane announces that the sedatives are kicking in and calls Kyle out of hiding.
Posing on the bed, Patty has Jack where she wants him – I’ll undress you, she coos. Nothing will happen tonight or ever, Jack calls her bluff. Kyle’s bringing Diane home right now. Recognize this? He shows off the phone and lays out his and Kyle’s plan – it’s all over – my wife’s coming home to me.
Increasingly woozy, Markham needs to call the police. Kiss your career and freedom goodbye, Kyle snarls, and when Markham collapses into a chair, he takes his keys and starts working on the lock.
