Jill saw an honesty in Billy when they talked – and his pain. He’s found the one woman on earth who understands him (even if Sally can’t keep a secret) Billy thinks you’re hiding the reason you don’t want him at Chancellor – maybe you’re the one with the secret, Sally suggests.
Kyle reports that his Dad was so relieved that his Mom was OK. Hopefully, the police don’t believe Patty. Billy believes Jack will wake up to tell them the truth – and Patty will end up where she deserves.
Diane’s stunned to hear that Patty wasn’t arrested. Mike explains that the evidence corroborates her story; there was none of Jack’s blood on her; Patty has what appears to be defensive wounds on her arms; her prints weren’t on the knife; Dr Markham claims you drugged him. I might not make bail?! Diane’s horrified.
You’re doing so good, he repeats, Nick guides his Mom into the ranch. Her eyes bandaged, Nikki bumps into a chair. Nick jokes that he bumps into stuff all the time. Victoria fusses – tea? Nikki wants everyone to stop hovering – with all this love we’ll get through it, together.
Of course Jill’s not hiding anything from her son – she DID trust him to run Katherine’s company but Billy made mistakes. He’d rather believe a conspiracy than admit he wasn’t a good fit? Sally concludes. ‘Bingo’, Jill thinks Billy’s not there because he’s still mad at her. No, Jack’s in the hospital, Sally informs.
Wanting to talk about something other than the evil Patty, Traci’s funny story from their childhood quickly reduces her to tears. Diane arrives to say that Mike got her released on bail; she’s not concerned about the charges right now. Why isn’t Jack awake?!
This will be an adjustment but you’ll get your eyesight back, Nick reassures his Mom. Is Victor here? she asks. I’m right here, he appears; tearing up when she thanks him for letting her come home.
Sally doesn’t know what’s going on with Jack – Billy got the call and ran out of the house. Jill hopes it’s not serious.
Meeting in the park, Patty complains about Diane escaping while Markham’s not happy that she stabbed Jack (not part of the plan) We’re in this together; neither of us is safe as long as Jack’s alive, Patty warns.
Traci, Billy and Kyle watch on as Diane sits beside Jack, pleading with him to ‘come back to us’. You have to be alright. Wake up. I’m here – I’ve come home to you. Find your way back to me – please.
