No way in hell was Nick going to miss this – his recovery is on track. Are you ready to be a bride again, Mom? he asks. Not a chance, Nikki surprises all.

You said you could handle your father, Sally reminds Adam. And just because you (Adam) lied to me doesn’t mean he should assume Sally would lie to Billy. Adam crafted this deal to protect Sally – Billy put you in jeopardy. Victor’s been texting and calling him non-stop. Adam will try to protect Spectra Charles but Sally must reign Billy in – you don’t want to be in Victor’s cross-hairs.

Nikki won’t marry Victor again – not dressed like this. Victor’s had something appropriate put in Nikki’s room. After she and Victoria run upstairs, Mike, Victoria and Claire giggle over champagne. Aside, Victor tells Nick that he and Adam had a falling out over Newman Media. He’s been texting/calling him but hasn’t received a response. Nick admits that Noah leaving has hit him hard – but he’s doing OK and ready to focus on his parents ‘iconic love’.

Over drinks, Cane admits that he’s lied and cheated more than he cares to admit. Not everyone’s forgiven him. Matt’s accepted that most people won’t accept that he’s changed. What exactly did you do? Cane asks. Matt’s been a monster for decades – to Nick, Sharon, Noah, Sienna (who he tried to kill)

There it is; Matt recognizes the look he deserves. Tearing up, he likes to think that part of him is gone; he’s left with the ‘juicy satisfaction’ of shame, remorse, and the need to prove that he’s a better man. If you’ve hurt people bad enough there might not be room for forgiveness on the other side, Cane concludes.

Billy will always let his ego and greed get the better of him, Adam had Sally’s back – but Billy couldn’t give a damn. Sally’s sorry but it’s done – there’s nothing she can do. Adam’s sorry he bothered her.

What is that smell? Sally made a peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwich. Adam remembers her craving sardines and hot fudge. How’s the baby? Good. On cue, Billy comes home to growl – what the hell are you doing in my house!?

Matt understands if Cane wants to finish his drink at the other end of the bar. ‘It’s a lot’ but Cane can see the pain and regret in Matt’s eyes, but – forgiveness from Victor is a long-shot. Matt’s aware – he doesn’t feel safe. Then why stay? Phyllis. Yeah, Cane knows she’s good at convincing people that they want what she wants. She understands what it’s like to be the pariah, and that feels like comfort to Matt. Cane’s advice is to be wary of Phyllis – when she turns, it’s hell on earth. Matt’s seen hell on earth and isn’t afraid.

Billy assumes Adam’s Dad is all over his so he’s there to take it out on Sally. Victor’s pissed because YOU lied, Billy adds ‘you should have seen the look on his face’ – he was blindsided. Spectra Charles will run Newman Media into the ground, Billy warns Adam. Can we not do this, please? Sally implores. After Adam leaves, she tells Billy ‘this isn’t about Adam – this is about you’.
