Over drinks, Daniel knows what he’s getting into working with his mother – I can handle it. Have some ‘trepidation’, Mike warns – one day your mother will do something appalling and shocking to you. He’d hate to see a job come between Daniel and his Mom. If she screws up and drives you away, it’ll be hell, HELL! for everyone.

Phyllis tells Lauren that it’s her moment to have real power and control – we aren’t going after Newman, we’re leaving them in our dust.

There’s still time to find the exit, Mike repeats his warning to Daniel loudly enough for both Phyllis and Lauren (and everyone else in the dining room) to hear.

You think you might be pregnant? Devon’s stunned. Abby did some research – women with the same condition as her have gotten pregnant. No, she hasn’t taken a test.

Sally tells Billy that Adam didn’t come over to see Ruby – he came to talk to me. Like phones aren’t a thing? Billy jokes. When you imply that he’s overly attached to Ruby, who else can Adam talk to? Sally asks. Having nothing to say, Billy has an errand to run. ‘We’re golden, I love you’, he leaves Sally to make a call; can you come over? I think I need your help.

I shouldn’t have left you with Adam, Audra’s back at the house – did Billy freak out? No, he was calm. Weird, right? I need you to tell me that Billy’s not going backwards; that my new life will be perfect and drama-free.

Over dinner at the club, Lily wonders why Nikki was so upset earlier. She coached you through your Restless Style photo-shoot, Cane recalls. At our old house, Lily remembers. When she goes to the car to fetch her tablet, Billy joins Cane to ask how things are going at Chancellor.

Why would you say that? Phyllis comes over to the bar. Mike was just joking – but does worry about work chaos destroying family harmony. What happens when Daniel doesn’t want to go along with a ‘cockamamie scheme’ to take the Newmans down? Phyllis isn’t just going to ‘poke’ the bear – she’s going to kill the bear.

Abby and Devon wait in the doctor’s waiting room waiting for the results of her pregnancy test. How would you feel if the impossible happened? she asks.

Billy might explode, Sally worries. She defends Adam while Audra defends Billy. He’s shutting off part of himself and won’t talk to me, Sally adds that Billy gets this look in his eye; watching and waiting to make a move. If it’s not Adam, there’s something else he’s not telling me.

Billy denies he’s getting the ‘Chancellor itch’. When Lily returns, Cane sends him home. Give our best to Sally and the baby, Lily adds. After Billy, Cane knows he’s up to something; he’s getting tired of wondering what Billy has up his sleeve. At the revolving door, Billy makes a call – change of plans; we have to meet somewhere else.

Success alone should be the win, Mike claims. Healthy competition is good for everyone, Lauren’s in agreement. ‘Oh barf’, Phyllis complains that Victor wants to see everyone else fail – that ain’t gonna be me!

Audra’s at CL’s to get some herbal tea for Sally. It is weird, you being this calm, she warns Billy not to screw things up.
