Phyllis joins Nick at Society to announce that she owns the club. No, she hasn’t heard from Matt – ‘ancient history’. Maybe not, Nick tells her that he’s missing after a car crash.
How did you get past Victor’s security?! Sharon’s alarmed to hear that Matt broke into the trunk of her car. I’m not here to hurt you – I need help, he implores.
Nick shares what little he knows; since Matt and Patty can’t be found he suspects they set this up. Matt gets knocked on the head and goes from killer to Mr Nice Guy – then ups and leaves? Phyllis may buy it, but Nick doesn’t.
Sharon’s further alarmed when Matt grabs the back of his head and moans in pain.
Are you kidding me?! Sharon doesn’t believe Matt. He can’t leave until his pain stops – please help me make it go away. The darkness is back and it’s eating me alive, he tears up.
Phyllis continues to defend Matt – if he was able to, he’d try to reach me. He’s not the victim, he victimizes – Nick suggests he never changed at all.
Matt couldn’t go to anyone else; you’re a therapist and have compassion. In tears, he believes Sharon’s the one person who can make it go away. He has ‘sparking’ in his brain that brings back the hatred and evil – the need to make everyone pay. Help me stop it, he pleads.
Matt tried to apologize; it was never enough, Phyllis tells Nick why he left with Patty. Nick will NEVER be convinced. Adam arrives needing to speak to his brother. Outside, he updates that the cops found Joe – he says you beat him up – badly. Burrow wants you to come in for questioning. Fine, Nick will go – Joe’s pissed I took his drugs. Adam WANTS to believe he ‘flushed them’.
