Friday. October 23rd

In Paul’s office, Chris is in tears – remembering the night she too was ran over (by Nikki and Neil) She’s there to give her statement. Adam was being escorted to the van – a car deliberately hit him. Victor calls Paul to grunt that he won’t bury his son again.

At CL’s, Vikki assures Jack that she was with Billy at the park. Jack’s not here to accuse. Billy forgave Adam, Vikki reminds. Someone wanted him dead and may have succeeded, Jack adds that Billy’s words today effected him, and a lot of people. How’s Chelsea? She’s about to lose the man she loves – again – there won’t be a miraculous return this time.

Sage and Nick tell Nikki that Christian’s doing well. Nick then reassures Victor; Adam’s too rotten to die. Sage reaches out to a shell-shocked Chelsea. Adam loves you and Connor more than anything in the world. He’s gonna make it, Chelsea insists – he has to.

As Sage and Nick chat with Victor and Nikki, Vikki arrives. Seeing Jack with Billy, Victor tells an officer he may as well arrest him.

Mike joins the William’s to share what he remembers – the car was a white sedan. He didn’t see who was behind the wheel – but they meant to kill Adam; there was no swerving or screeching of tires/brakes.

Ashley thinks this proposal came out of nowhere; it’s a big step Abby’s not ready for. Being apart made Abby realize how much she loves Ben. Of course she’s ready (and wishes her Mom was more supportive) Abby wants to be Ben’s wife. Ashley gets a call from Jack and relays Adam’s hit and run – go join the Newmans at GCM, she sends Abby off.

Billy’s not there to gloat – he’s there to support Chelsea. Victor shouts his accusations. Billy meant every word he said in court – he just wanted justice, not revenge (not THIS) Victor then growls at Paul – arrest Billy Boy! As Paul questions where Billy was, Jack steps in – leave my brother out of this.

Paul spells out the obvious theory; Adam was driving the car that killed Billy’s daughter – is it coincidence the same thing happened to Adam? When Jack expresses his pride in Billy, Victor’s unimpressed with an Abbott defending an Abbott – arrest the SOB! As Victor marches off, Vikki provides what Paul suspects might another fabricated alibi. No! Adam’s her brother – who has a wife and child. She wants the driver held accountable. Having ‘nothing to hide’, Billy hands Paul his keys. The Chief must check out every possibility. As all head out, Chelsea thanks Billy; who hopes Adam pulls though, for her and Connor’s sake. As all disband, Abby arrives to reassure Chelsea – Adam’s in good hands. Ben’s the best. Aside, Nikki’s reminded of how she hurt Paul and Chris – is she alright? Yes, Paul gushes about how strong his wife is. OMG – where’s Victor!? Nikki gasps – if he decides to take things into his own hands….

At the penthouse, Victor pays off the babysitter – Chelsea will be at the hospital for a while. He’s left to blather on to Connor (with a blank stare and soccer ball in his lap) I taught your Father how to play, Victor babbles – Your Daddy loves you very much. You’re his life.

At the club, Jack and Phyllis update Ashley that Adam’s cheating death, again. Ashley thinks it cosmic justice – karma. No, Billy hates to say it – but Adam shouldn’t have to pay for the accident with his life. Vikki’s never been more proud of Billy (who’s also ready to forgive Jack)

In Paul’s office, Chris tells Mike that Adam’s ruling was fair. More fair than what he’s being dealt now? Mike wonders. Chris then gets a call – a bystander ID’d the car – the lead panned out – the car’s been found at the South Lake Motel.

Ben comes out to report that Adam’s suffered internal bleeding – he needs emergency surgery. Chelsea’s given 2 minutes with Adam. I’m here, she holds his hand – I’m not going anywhere. Don’t you dare leave me.

Both Sage and Nick appreciate Adam delivering Christian – who they hopefully get to take home soon ~hug~ As monitors beep, nurses run in. OMG! It’s Christian! Sage and Nick rush back into the neonatal unit.
