At the club, Ashley doesn’t think that Abby overreacted by snapping at Phyllis. Abby knows what Victor did to Phyllis is horrible, but if she released her anger she might heal.
Jack understands why Phyllis wouldn’t attend the memorial after what Victor did to her. What he did to US, Phyllis wants Victor to hurt (not be comforted by Jack) Jack won’t comfort Victor – he’s going to pay his respects. But yes, he WILL acknowledge Victor’s loss, Father to Father. Back at Billy’s, Cane suspects Billy will pull a power play while he’s in Seattle. No, Billy’s going away for some ‘me’ time. This time, Cane shakes Billy’s hand, and hopes he doesn’t regret going to Seattle (and lying to Jill) Billy’s left to send a text to Phyllis; wanting her to meet him at the cabin.
Phyllis is sorry Adam’s gone and her heart goes out to Chelsea, everyone who loved him and Jack’s loss but why share that loss with Victor? Near tears, Jack knows Phyllis is loyal, decent and protective of her family. Also in tears, that’s not how Phyllis feels. Exiting, she checks her phone as she gets on the elevator.
On the rooftop, Cane’s online booking a flight as he calls Jill to grumble about not going to Seattle – hopefully everyone wins by Billy going with Vikki.
Sharon thinks Mike crazy for blaming himself. Everyone knows you did your best. Not everyone, Mike watches Victor arrive to stare at Adam’s portrait. Nikki goes to his side to ask how Chelsea is. She’s strong, she’ll get Connor through this, Victor’s sure. Nick appears – we’ll get through this together – we’re Newmans. Nikki beams proudly as Father and son embrace.
Still at the penthouse, Chloe comforts Chelsea and hopes Victor didn’t upset her too much. She’s not happy to hear that Victor helped and that Chelsea believes he’d give her closure if he could.
Back from a chat with the nanny, Vikki denies she’s disappointed that Billy’s not jealous about them going on a trip – he must have an angle. But who cares, she’ll live her life, with Travis. With a quick kiss, they head off to the memorial.
