Jack joins Connor – he misses his Daddy too. We’re here to give him a proper goodbye. I’m very, very sad – you will be too but we can get through this together. Nikki consoles Chelsea – then Nick (we can wait for your Mom to come back) No, Chelsea thanks Nick for being a good brother and friend. Yes, she’s ready.

As Chloe continues to fawn over Chelsea, Jack tells Victor that he’s sorry for his loss. Victor appreciates that. All are now seated as Nick leads all in bowing their heads for a moment of silence (which gives Chloe a chance to glared at Adam’s portrait)

Arriving at the cabin, Billy immediately pours himself a drink. But his eyes light up when Phyllis arrives.

Amen, Nick says. Having no real plan for this informal gathering, he goes first in sharing his thoughts on Adam (whom he thought the worst of too many times) He wishes he was a better brother. Adam loved his family more than anything. He made mistakes but he had heart, was brave. As Nick’s praise continues, Chloe all but rolls her eyes.

Taking a drink, Phyllis whines about having to listen to Jack feel sorry for Victor. Is she wrong not to? No, as usual, Billy is on the same page – Victor’s the last person Phyllis should feel sorry for (which she appreciates – you get it, you get me) My brother doesn’t, Billy adds. Phyllis doesn’t want to think about Jack ~kiss~

Nick calls Victor up to say a few words, then sits with Connor on his knee. Victor speaks humbly and from the heart. He should have been a better Father to Adam. He was driven. His heart was in the right place. He changed because of you Chelsea, and Connor. Thinking of a life cut too short, Victor wants to share certain things that nobody knows (which makes Chloe look nervous)

Next: You all wonder who’s to blame …. Victor, don’t do this, Nikki interrupts him … We can’t control who we love, Jack says (presumably to the mourners) Meanwhile, Phyllis and Billy are getting hot and heavy at the cabin.

My Thoughts: While there’s little doubt that Adam is not dead (again) it remains to be seen whether the role will be recast (again) Justin Hartley has a primetime show (This is Us) set to air this fall and it’s possible he’ll leave to pursue that. There’s also a casting call for a mid 30’s male who sounds a lot like Adam. I guess we’ll wait and see … Phyllis is wrong about Victor making a mockery of Adam’s death – the number of times he’s returned from the grave does that. But at least someone’s holding him accountable; Nick’s completely forgiven Victor for using his dead wife’s journal to frame Adam because he didn’t blow his son to smithereens? And Vikki’s either oblivious or doesn’t know that her Father has admitted to hiring Bethany to seduce Billy (yet another attempt to run her life after pretending not to give a rats ass about what choices she makes) Meanwhile, Paul and Dylan are wringing their hands because they have nothing on Victor while ignoring the obvious; obstruction of justice and fraud. I guess they don’t mind running around town wasting taxpayers money looking for a dead woman’s diary pages.. And of all the reasons Abby has to be annoyed with Ben she’s going to whine about him not wanting to kowtow to Victor and Jack (who between them managed to kill his sister)… Making a deal with Cane is making Billy feel all ‘brotherly’? Lucky Cane. I guess he better keep an eye on Lily.
