Lauren believes in keeping work and family separate. Gloria insists – but no, she’s not blackmailing her way into a job (which is exactly what she’s doing) When Jack shows up at the door, the claws come out.

Hilary reports that Devon’s sleeping. Neil thinks it good he rest now. What does that mean? Yes, Neil DID hear what Ben said – but eventually, Devon WILL know the truth. He may never regain his memory of that night, Hilary points out. You better hope not, Neil replies.

After Jack and Gloria exchange comical insults, Lauren dismisses her Mother in law and tells Jack why she didn’t ask him to invest – Jabot already has a fashion division. Jack makes ‘an interesting case’ – then is surprised to hear that Phyllis is now working for Lauren. But no, he’s not withdrawing his offer.

Billy hopes he’s not being tricked into meeting with Billy. No – he’s out of the office and Phyllis isn’t around either. Taking coffee, Ashley wonders if Billy’s spending time with Reed to get closer to Vikki. When Ash’s phone goes off, she confides she has a date. Billy reiterates that Vikki has no interest in him.

Turn it down! Vikki shouts up the stairs. The lights then go off. Must have blown a fuse, Reed appears to say. Your Mother’s about to blow a fuse too! Vikki’s pissed.

You and Lily are so self-righteous, Hilary again blames Neil for stopping her from going after Devon that night. Maybe Devon had turned around and was coming home to me, Hilary suggests. Neil thinks her deluded. Devon’s loving and grateful – YOU’RE the one in denial. You’re living on borrowed time, Neil knows Devon will find out what she did to Mariah. He’ll be disgusted with you all over again. Hilary will be Devon’s wife until HE says otherwise.

At the club, Lily updates Mariah that Devon has no memory of what happened before the accident. She dodged a bullet, Mariah says. Not for long, Lily smirks.

Hilary rejoins Devon – how nice that he’s getting so much rest. Neil and Lily left to give us some time alone. Where else would Hilary be? In sickness and in health. GC’s airing reruns. Hilary’s one and only priority is Devon (and their marriage) It’ll be here with you every step of the way, she promises.

Coming up with a flashlight, Vikki doesn’t find it as funny as Reed – and doesn’t want to call Billy. We’re divorced, deal with that. I’ll just go try the red switch. Vikki runs back up – I think I did something to the hot water heater. OK, just this once we’ll call Billy.

Ashley changes the subject back to Billy and Vikki. We had a moment on New Year’s Eve, he confides (but it won’t go anywhere) On cue his phone rings.

Lauren rejects Jack’s offer to invest. The best strategy for you is to buy off Fenmore’s stores and sell off the locations. You won’t liquidate my Father’s legacy. Jack will put in in writing that he’ll keep Fenmores intact. Nope – Lauren’s holding out for a silent investor. Shown the door, Jack asks Lauren to think about it. Gloria appears immediately to applaud – we must keep Fenmores a family business. He won’t give up, she knows.

Neil joins Lily and Mariah at the club. No, Devon hasn’t regained his memory. Mariah feels guilty – but neither blame her for wanting justice. Hilary will get what’s coming to her. There’s nothing she can do. Except make herself indispensable to Devon, Lily gripes.

Hilary updates Devon that he’s being moved to a regular room (and officially out of the woods) As Devon wonders why he was driving out of town, Hilary hushes him with a kiss.

The power restored, Billy gets a weak ‘thank you’ from Vikki and then scolds ‘Slash’ – turn it down a few decibels or two. If not – here. Reed’s thrilled with new headphones. Billy has some old fashioned earplugs for Vikki.

Gloria knows how Jack’s mind works. I’ve handled the situation, Lauren says with finality.

Jack updates Ashley – Lauren turned him down but it’s not over yet. After Ashley leaves, Jack gets a call from Gloria. She can help him get Fenmores. Why would you do that? My daughter in law doesn’t always know what’s best for her, Gloria crows.

Next: Ashley – hey, come in, Ravi stammers. What are you doing here Phyllis? Ashley asks (poking her head in the door of Phyllis’ former office) …. What in all this for you? Jack asks. A small role in the company, Gloria answers. How small? …. I have not been honest with you, Lauren fesses up to Mike.

My Thoughts; Lauren doesn’t even have her laptop password protected? Not that it would matter – she left herself logged in and the laptop open to all her files for Gloria to eyeball …. Oh my – Lauren hasn’t forgotten that Mike had cancer! I was beginning to think I dreamt that whole pitiful storyline. Gloria didn’t seem surprised so maybe she was notified via facebook (Mike changed his status from ‘have cancer’ to ‘cancer free’ … Of course it doesn’t matter if Devon actually regains his memory of that night. GC Buzz was COVERING the event! Hilary confessed to an entire room of movers and shakers. Even if it weren’t on camera, there’s no way Lily’s keeping this to herself. The only thing that can save Hilary’s marriage to Devon at this point is an ill timed (or fortunately timed) pregnancy … Billy and Reed are both trying way too hard to be cool. Vikki could easily outcool them both by turning the apartment above the garage into a studio. It’s not like she doesn’t have 500 million in the bank.
