Sharon wants to know what the future holds; where things stand with Nick (before she agrees to this move) Nick loves Sharon and wants to build a life with her and the kids. Yes, Sharon will move to San Diego ~kiss~ Neither look forward to telling Faith and Sharon worries that Victor will cause problems. Nick won’t let his vindictive Father control him or his kids ever again. We need to find a place in San Diego and someone to manage Crimson Lights. Nick then gets a text from Phyllis (who summons him over for a surprise) He’ll get a sitter so Sharon can come along and say goodbye to her new BFF.
The rooftop party in full swing, Tessa (working ‘the door’) checks Arturo’s ID as they chit-chat. You looking for someone? Yes, but he doesn’t think she’s coming. Next to arrive are Kyle and Mariah (who’s ready to turn around and go home now) No, after the news she got, Kyle thinks Mariah should be with friends and seeing all she has here in GC.
So Summer made a surprise return, dropped off all her stuff then took off? Nick (with Sharon) wonders why and suggests she might be going to his place. Billy doesn’t think so. He mentions what Summer walked in on (him updating Phyllis on the latest Abbott family drama) Wait til she hears what’s going on in her own family, Sharon quips – and our news. No, she’s not pregnant. We’re moving to San Diego, Nick announces. Billy and Phyllis are then surprised to hear that Victor knew all along that Adam fathered Christian. Nick’s doing what he should have done a long time ago – getting away from Victor.
Now seated on the rooftop, Mariah scolds Kyle for what he said to Tessa (who then joins them to ask what news Mariah got) Hearing that Mariah’s family is moving away, Tessa DOES think it a ‘big deal’. Mariah understands why Nick wants to move; plus, she’ll have the house to herself and a vacation spot in California. As Kyle hints that Mariah should ask Tessa to move in with her, Summer takes the DJ’s mic to announce that she’s back in GC to get this party started. ‘Kill me now’, Mariah grumbles and is about to leave when Tessa quickly goes to handle Summer.
After Mariah bolts, Summer gives Kyle an awkward hug – I’m really happy to see you. Giving Summer the cold shoulder, Kyle abruptly goes to get a drink. At the bar, he tells Mariah that he didn’t want to be part of the floor show.
Back at the apartment, Phyllis tells Nick that Summer was vague on where she’s been and what she’s been doing. Sharon’s sure Summer was surprised to find Billy and Phyllis living in her apartment. Faith will have some adjustments to make too but Sharon looks forward to getting away from GC. After Phyllis takes Sharon into the kitchen, Billy tells Nick that Summer’s changed – she seems a lot more confident. Meanwhile, Phyllis warns Sharon that if their secret comes out, her tan butt will be dragged back to GC to go down too.
