Billy tries to get a hold of Sinead and re-negociate. Summer shows Billy the party invitation which gives Billy more motivation to fix things with Jaboat. But first, he calls Phyllis and lies to her. Jaboat has damage to it, and won’t be available for a couple of weeks. Bummer. Phyllis decides hosting the party at their house will suffice instead. Summer gives Billy a troubled look as they finish talking.

At the party, Summer apologizes in front of Phyllis for telling Billy about the surprise. In their sailor hats, the three taste-test the drinks Phyllis made for the guests. Kyle’s the first guest to arrive, bearing news that Jack has dropped the lawsuit to dig up Phillip’s grave. To lighten the mood, Summer asks about Tiffany. Unfortunately, her and Kyle didn’t work out. Oh well, lets drink!

Ashley tries to protect herself against the trouble of being associated with Victor causes. Again, Ashley begs Victor to create a plan. Every article mentions Ashley’s name for playing a big role in Newman, so it’s not just his reputation bring tarnished. Lets get serious Victor – did you have something to do with J.T’s disappearance. Victor’s stunned she would even ask. More so, he is in disbelief that Ashley would take Scott’s words over his. In a desperate move, Ashley ultimately says she is quitting. This is the only way to protect herself, and her family.

Abby and Arturo emerge from their suite, giddy as ever. After spending Victor’s money on the suite, chocolate covered strawberries and a $1000 bottle of champagne, the two decide to boast about it directly to the man himself. Before they get a chance to, they run into Nikki, who sets the record straight. It’s not Victor harassing Arturo, it’s Nikki. She bugged him, got rid of the permit for his vehicle and froze his accounts. Victor isn’t the only guilty one. Speaking of guilty, Arturo did not respect Nikki’s warnings for him to stay away from Abby. She says she was simply returning the favor. “No one messes with Nikki Newman.”

Ashley arrives to Billy’s party, announcing her departure from Newman. Phyllis is surprised, seeing as she is yet to hear about the latest article accusing Victor of murder. Ashley leaves the room speechless as she asks for her spot as C.O.O back at Jabot. Just as she finishes her pitch, Abby and Arturo arrive. Abby pulls Ashley aside. Kyle is frustrated, seeing as it’s almost impossible to get ahead.

Nikki checks in on Sharon and shows her the article, in awe that she was able to manipulate the press to make them believe Victor was guilty for a murder she committed.

Ashley reminds Abby how strong she will look by staying at Newman. Rejoining the party, Arturo agrees that Abby’s best option is to stay where she’s at. Phyllis gives Ashley a reality check – nobody wants you back at Jabot because you tried to make Billy your puppet. Ashley insists that she was only ever trying to help Billy, and that this time around she will let him lead. Kyle swoops in, suggesting Billy ought to open up the C.O.O position to everyone *hint hint*. As everyone returns to celebrate the party, Ashley goes to her phone to send a message.
