Friday, November 2nd

In her office, Phyllis lays out her immediate business plans and a two-pronged marketing plan. Our boutiques will be a haven. Billy thinks it makes sense. Kyle can’t work the night; he’s got plans with Lola but can come in at the crack of dawn. Now alone, Billy defends Kyle. He’s young and in love (something he doesn’t expect Phyllis to understand)

Sharon’s eyes bug out as she caves under pressure. So, if Rey wasn’t married you’d be interested? Mariah pressures her. Sharon’s in no position to even think about a relationship. She’ll cancel tonight so’s not to confuse things. When Rey seems relieved by her cancelation, Sharon’s surprised/puzzled. Lola’s also relieved/surprised when Rey updates that she’ll have his kitchen to herself after all. Back inside, the nauseatingly adorable Tessa and Mariah are interrupted when Billy drops by to complain that Phyllis now runs his family company. He’s on the verge of blushing when Sharon tells y.him how decent and brave he is.

At the office, Phyllis is in need of company and take out when she leaves a message for Summer then possibly Billy.

Nikki thanks Arturo for all his hard work. Did you come across any surprises? Arturo scoffs – why does he get the feeling Nikki already knows the answer to that question?

At the risk of sounding like a hypocrite, Billy delivers a long-winded complaint about Phyllis. Sharon actually feels better in a misery loves company sorta way. When she too complains about Phyllis, Billy catches her off-guard by asking why she puts up with it. Why not just walk away from the charity work?

Delivering the cheque to Arturo, Nikki accepts his offer to walk her back to her car. The park isn’t her favourite place to walk at night. Neither notice the Halloween light blinking on the ground still.

No sooner has Nick put a framed photo away when Phyllis drops by his office with a vision of beauty; a large take out bag.

Lola buzzes Kyle up – perfect timing. They’re kissing when Rey returns to pop his head in;’hey kiddo’. This is …. Kyle. The kid who likes to dig up graves, Rey’s not impressed.

It was an accident? You tripped on a shovel and fell into a grave? Rey’s skeptical. Polite and respectful, Kyle can leave but he’d rather stay and get to know Rey while Lola cooks. That sounds like a great idea to Rey.

The place is a dump, Phyllis is impressed with Dark Horse. Nick’s equally impressed with Phyllis (having no idea how she scored the big seat) Phyllis feels like she can handle anything thrown her way. No, Nick’s not bothered by her hubris. They joke about it being glorious at the top.

Sharon won’t bail out on important charity work. She made the commitment before knowing about Phyllis and Nick. She and Billy then discuss the ONS they had the night before Billy was supposed to be married.

Of course you’re not the man Sharon fell in love with – you were a teenager in high school, Phyllis scoffs. You’re a force to be reckoned with. If you want something you grab it. Nick comes around the desk to grab and kiss Phyllis.
