Jack thought they were making headway. Phyllis still needs some time – she can’t promise she won’t crack a vase over Jack’s head if she goes home. Remember who loves you, Jack says. Goodbye, Phyllis replies. Victor wasn’t able to pull us apart before – don’t let him do it now, Jack says as he exits.
At CL’s, Natalie and Summer feel one another out. Both have a lot of secrets. Summer warns Natalie that if she’s trying to work around Victor, it won’t go well. You’ve got me, Natalie’s sarcastic – I’m screwing over Victor Newman. Is that what you wanted to hear?
Billy barges into Summer’s to confront Luca; who knows he has a deal with Natalie. Cut me in. Or? Luca’s next call could be to Victor. Yeah, Victor trusts you so much – aren’t you supposed to be out of town? He takes a photo of Luca (to prove he’s still in town) Good luck. Luca has something to offer Billy – something he’d have great use for.
Nick and Sage are at TotT to meet someone about adoption. It seems their wait might be a short one.
Back at the penthouse, Chelsea continues to plead with Adam – whatever it is, I can handle it. It’s about Christian – Sage’s baby. He was my son, Adam admits. Chelsea’s stunned.
The paternity test said Nick was the Father. Yes, because Adam bribed the tech. It was what was best at the time. Sage had no idea, but things were going well with Nick. I’d have lost you and Connor. Don’t make this about what I MIGHT have done! This is about you lying again. I was such a fool. That’s why you were so upset after Christian died and didn’t jump on having another baby. You handed power to Victor instead of trusting me! Chelsea’s upset. Adam can’t take it back – he can only hope Chelsea can forgive him.
The adoption lady tells Nick and Sage about a pregnant teen in her last trimester. She liked your profile, but could choose another couple or decide to keep the baby. The agent asks them to consider adopting an older child (which Sage rejects immediately while Nick agrees to think about it) Now alone, Sage asks Nick – are we not on the same page with this?
If you’re hiding something, there’ll be big trouble, Summer warns. Natalie thinks the big trouble is Luca – why would you let that guy move in? He’s kinda gross. He’s not gross – but no, Summer doesn’t care about him. You’re not being loyal to Victor, Natalie sends a pissed off Summer huffing out.
Luca has a CD – leverage against Victor. He wants to work with Billy on this lucrative project. What’s on the disc? Billy asks. Something that’ll take Victor down for good. Adam has some more truth – Chelsea and Connor are all he has in the world. I need you. I’ve lost two children. Our miscarriage – Christian – I didn’t have anybody. I delivered him, held him – he was so brave – I prayed he’d make it – and when he didn’t. When he died, part of me died – I suffered alone. He couldn’t add to Nick’s grief – I suffered alone. As Adam’s overcome with emotion, Chelsea goes to hug him.
