Luca coaches Summer – say we’re investigating. Noah wants to postpone until Vikki can deal with it. When reporters arrive, Luca beams proudly as Summer introduces herself as the Newman who’ll be answering their questions today.
If Vikki’s tending to business, why is she blindsided by this? Billy wonders. Vikki spent the morning with the kids and must now get to the office. Bye Johnny, she shouts as she runs out.
Kevin puts his hand over Natalie’s – you ARE my type (you even resemble my ex, Chloe) I think about you all the time, Kevin says – but he has friendship and history with Mariah. When Billy calls to summon Natalie over, that works for her – I’m on my way.
Petition the court to exhume the body again, Chelsea suggests. Mike says they’ll have to test the samples the court already has. Is there a Bingham we can contact? No, not since Gabe died. Mike sees one shot at getting approval – from Sage’s only heir, Nick.
Mariah won’t tell Faith – about a new dress she bought her. Nick will try to act surprised. Faith comes down to report that Sully smiled at his Uncle. Mariah and Sharon exchange a look as Nick says he’ll be glad to watch Sully grow up (as he’s the same age as Christian)
What’s going on? Vikki marches into the office to ask. Summer just finished an interview per her request. The reporter informs that the footage has already been sent to the studio – Ms Newman did the company proud. Vikki forces a smile.
Billy appreciates Natalie coming over. Eyeing Johnny, she hopes she’s not being asked to babysit. Billy needs Natalie to find information on the Newman platform that sprung a leak. It’s not to takedown Vikki, he assures.
Faith heads upstairs to practice her dancing for tonight. Sharon hopes spending time with Sully isn’t hard for Nick. It’ll be hard not watching Christian grow up, but Sully helps – Nick understands why it did Sage too. You guys are a real family. Stifling tears, Nick’s grateful they’ve been so good to him. Adam then calls to summon him over.
Nick’s on his way over, Adam tells Chelsea and Mike. Let’s see how strong our brotherly bond really is.
Mike hasn’t summoned Kevin to the park’s cafe because something’s wrong. We don’t hug enough ~hug~ Kevin rants about Natalie being upset at him, and both her and Mariah spontaneously kissing him. Mike tells him to make a decision before it blows up in his face.
Just a few minutes of hacking and Natalie’s uncovered that shortcuts were taken – the leak was inevitable. Billy blames Victor, Vikki wouldn’t do something like this. They then watch Summer’s interview online (implying that ‘outside forces’ may be at play) She’s part of the cover up, Billy realizes.
After the reporter leave, Vikki’s understandably confused – ‘my instructions’? I read them as per our conversation, Luca informs. We tried to reach you – where were you last night? Summer wonders.
Reading the copy of Sage’s journal, Adam thinks it gets worse and worse – it makes me sound like an animal. Chelsea wonders if she’s to blame (for telling Adam not to take over Newman when Victor asked) Nick’s thanked for coming over. Adam vows he wouldn’t hurt Constance. Do you believe me? Having visited their Father, Nick’s not sure who to believe. He’s not happy to see the copy of the journal (his wife’s private thoughts)
You have no right to read this, Nick thinks Sage’s been hurt enough already. The press will have a field day with this. Adam denies he’ll make Sage out to be a liar. Chelsea blurts out that Nick should attack Adam – he’s been protecting you. Really? How? Nick wants to know.
Mariah again lectures Sharon – I don’t know how to do this. This is Nick. Sharon talks about Dylan; he’s waited all his life to be a Father. Nick has kids and getting through his pain. You promised to keep this secret. Yes, but if we aren’t going to give Nick the truth, we must give him time with his son. We’d be monsters to keep them apart?
Mike tells Kevin to be brave and honest – make a decision. Can’t you decide for me? Kevin whines. In parting, Mike tells him to take a chance – and leaves Kevin to go over his history with both Mariah and Natalie (who appears to wish she could hack into Kevin’s brain right now)
