The cocky but cute reporter reminds Nick that his daughter’s the product of his affair with Phyllis. You don’t get to decide what’s appropriate and what’s not – hiding in bushes to ambush us. Cane takes Nick off to cool down while Lily and Devon corner the reporters. Meanwhile. Summer continues to lecture Phyllis (who says ‘it just happened’ – Marco, blah blah blah) Summer’s disappointed – Jack’s too good for you. You don’t deserve him. After she runs off, Nick joins Phyllis – who knows that Summer’s right.

The reporter isn’t leaving – this is a huge story. He then threatens to air Lily’s dirty laundry – I love a good story. After the press files out, Lily gives Cane a worried look.

In Lily’s office, Jack’s sorry he blew it – and will step down from the Foundation if Neil wants him to. No, Neil’s ready to help his friend. He knows the physical upset in your stomach, the jealousy, the anger – and finally the revenge. Will it be worth it?

Phyllis tells Nick to take his shot. But who is he to judge? A reporter just reminded him of THEIR affair. Cassie had just died, he remembers. Phyllis won’t compare Marco to losing Cassie. But she felt untethered – Billy was the only solid thing to hang onto. He gave me the strength to want to work things out with Jack. Don’t give up on your marriage, Nick advises.

Vikki’s annoyed that Travis felt the need to protect her. Travis didn’t want the kids to hear – the smug Billy rubs me the wrong way. Didn’t HE tend bar for a while? Vikki knows he’s right and keeping Billy away from the kids right now is for the best but she worries about Billy and how this all will end. Jill calls – where are all my employees? Get over here – there’s work to be done ~click~

Jill now calls Cane to order HIM back to work (if he still wants a job) Telling Lily that he might not be home for dinner, Cane leaves her to chat with Devon (who disagrees that Jack’s the one who brought the press over)

Nick tells Phyllis to go to Jack – tell him what you told me. If you truly love him, it’s worth it. OK, Phyllis agrees.

Still in Lily’s office, Neil reminds Jack of the mistakes he made (which cost Chris her baby) As your partner, sponsor and friend, Neil reminds Jack that he loves Billy and Phyllis, despite what they did to you. Neil’s left alone to worry.
