Nikki’s already pre-screened the nannies. There’s now shame in needing a bit of help, Nikki grabs a tissue and rubs yogurt into Nick’s shirt. OK, Nick was in the process of looking for a nanny. No, Nikki doesn’t have a favourite between Ann and Monica – Nick’s to choose one based on how they interact with Christian. Thanks Mom, Nick smiles.

Sharon’s home to whine to Mariah that she doesn’t know anything about Dylan’s assignment. He’s not allowed to have any contact with us until it’s over – and no one knows how long that’ll be.

Chris tells Paul that this case is too volatile for Sharon to come in demanding information (but does empathize) They then ask Kevin to update immediately on anything re: Dylan’s meeting with Alex. If he works for Fisk, he’ll be just as ruthless.

Looking like a Miami vice character, Dylan’s caught off-guard when the person he’s to meet takes a seat (Alex is a stunning young woman)

Abby’s found what she’s passionate about; Newman Enterprises. I’ll be damned, Victor’s so happy ~hug~ He looks forward to watching her follow in his footsteps. Yes, Victor’s serious about stepping back (but doesn’t regret all his time spent building NE) Can Abby take the Pittsfield meeting? Handed a copy of her game plan, Victor can see she’s done her homework. Abby can take the meeting AND sit in the CEO’s chair. Like it? It’s not permanent yet, Victor quips – then leaves Abby to giggle.

Monica is acing her interview with Nick – she doesn’t read tabloid journalism, would sign a confidentiality agreement and takes a moment to play with Christian. Anne’s next – her credentials are impressive but as she’s unable to name her favourite toy growing up, Nick looks over to see Monica and Christian happily playing.

Alex wasn’t expecting someone so good looking – and you were expecting me to be a guy. Tell me about Derek Young. Family? Wife? No – Derek has no ties – he’s taking in the world, the women, the product. They both get a bit closer – you’re good – but Alex isn’t in the mood to talk about her boss Fisk (and orders more drinks)

Returning to the tackhouse, Nikki’s relieved to hear that Nick hired Monica (she did have a favourite after all) You really saved my butt Mom. on her way out, Nikki asks if Nick’s heard from Dylan. Sharon says he’s on assignment – she’s supposed to let me know when he’s back. You don’t trust her? Nick manages to ask with a straight face. Do YOU? Nikki quips back.

Folding laundry, Sharon continues to fret. Paul wouldn’t keep anything from you, Mariah reassures (but doesn’t get why he put Dylan on this case) He volunteered – he needed to get away from the situation, and me. Though she blamed Paul, Sharon realizes that her husband’s out there risking his life because of what her lies did to him.
