You’re a good Dad – our kids adore you – but you get to be the fun parent; the easy part. Billy can’t deny he leaves most of the discipline to Vikki (who says ALL of it) Jill and Cane then come out to announce that Devon’s being released.

With final instructions, Ben lets Abby in and leaves. Despite Hilary trying to cut her off, Abby expresses surprise that Hilary’s the one taking Devon home – then is puzzled by Lily’s silence.

At the club, Jack tells Neil that reporters are asking him to comment on Devon (whether he was drinking at the benefit and why alcohol was even served given the Foundation’s purpose)

Neil tells Jack that Devon’s alcohol content was under the legal limit. He was driving like a crazy man because he put all his rage at Hilary into a powerful sports car. It’s not a pretty story but we didn’t overserve him – the Foundation isn’t culpable. Jack’s relieved but why does Neil say they can’t release a statement??

Hilary will handle everything. And you’re OK with that? Abby’s puzzled. Of course, why wouldn’t Devon be? Hilary has it under control, Lily adds. Hilary’s sorry to rush everyone out but Devon needs to get dressed to go home. Call if you need anything, Abby says (and again looks puzzled when Devon says he has all he needs right here)

Talking to Billy and Vikki about Valentine’s Day displays, Jill’s clearly pleased with her team. She then hugs handsome young man Reed. He needs help with his homework. Billy’s attempt to pass it off to Vikki are thwarted by Reed and Jill (who’s then surprised by Vikki’s scolding after the men leave)

In the lounge, Lily clears up Abby’s confusion. Ben was adamant that Devon avoid stress. He WILL find out, they agree. Lily knows it’ll cost Devon but it’ll be worth it to get Hilary out of our lives. Abby warns Lily that Devon might forgive Hilary yet again.

Now home, Hilary eases Devon onto the sofa. Look at all these flowers – she reads the cards; one from GC Buzz, the GCAC, building management. Is everything OK? she fusses over Devon. He’s thinking about how he almost killed himself in a car he doesn’t remember buying. Hilary doesn’t want to talk about his close she came to losing Devon – we have a second chance. Let’s celebrate our future together.

How did I butt in? Jill thinks Vikki should be thanking her for giving Billy time off to go help Reed with his homework. She’s NOT trying to force Vikki and Billy together and concludes that Vikki’s being defensive because she’s not over Billy.

In the conference room, Billy proofreads the essay (I think that’s what he was doing. It’s no secret that I really don’t know what proofreading looks like) – this looks good, Billy finishes. OK, Reed’s really there to discuss something he can’t talk to his Mom about (or his Dad on the phone) Reed grabs his backpack and pulls out packages of condoms. I have some questions.
