Pep talk over, Billy (with Chelsea) watch from the wings as Hilary begins the show; We’re live so anything can and will happen. Lily puts a calming hand over Vikki’s nervous one.
Phyllis is back in Jack’s office after telling Gloria that she’s taking her place in Dallas (which didn’t go well) Jack invites her to sit and watch the Hilary Hour. Too bad we don’t have popcorn.
Hilary rambles on about skin care, introduces Vikki (here with a breakthrough product) and ignores Lily. Vikki gets off to a rocky start then seems to get a sudden burst of energy. When she says their products blow Jabot’s out of the water, Hilary calls for a commercial so she and Lily can bicker while Chelsea and Billy coach Vikki. 4..3…2…1… The camera again rolling, Lily and Hilary snipe at one another then notice that Vikki’s not able to form words.
This is a barrel of laughs, a sarcastic Phyllis is relieved when Ashley comes to ask for a private word with her brother. Ashley has brought Jack ‘hope (a retro briefcase-record player and his LP) Jack talks while a scratched recording of ‘Love you to the moon and back’ plays; Ashley as supportive and loving as a sister can possibly be.
The song continues to play as Vikki stands and walks slightly off camera to stand silently like a grade schooler sent to the corner; Hilary, Lily, Billy and Chelsea all puzzled. Billy races across the set to catch Vikki as she collapses…. Packing her suitcase, Phyllis breaks into tears when coming across a shirt of Billy’s….. As Jack and Ashley listen to the end of the song, Paul runs in to say he’s found Dina…… Scott wakes up in a bed in a hotel. Uh oh – there’s blood on his shirt, his hands. Shaking the body of the woman beside him, her rolls her over to see that it’s Natalia (and more blood). Shaking, Scott looks traumatized.
