In the Abbott dining room, Abby doesn’t think her Mom should sue Jack (he wasn’t out to get you) Dina comes down ready for her ‘close up’. No, she’s not tired. Abby goes to fetch the camera; which leaves Dina to scold Ashley – I may be old enough to be your Mother but we haven’t even been formally introduced. Abby returns to declare today’s topic – let’s discuss your brilliant daughter Ashley.

Aside, Victor scolds Nikki for inviting Jack into their home after what he did to his sister. You forgave Vikki, Nikki reminds – then invites Victor to join the meeting. She and Nick are forming a new non-profit trust company. She’s asking Devon and Jack to join the board. The goal is to provide affordable housing across the country. Does Victor still want to help?

Across the room, Nick and Jack both hope that Nikki gets rid of Victor. Alas, Nikki brings him over to join the group (much to Jack’s dismay) Nick hisses is displeasure to his Mother (who assures that Victor won’t be a problem) When is he NOT a problem? Nick quips. Nikki then opens the front door and introduces Arturo as ‘the answer to all our prayers’.

The camera rolling, Dina talks about Ashley as if she was still a child. Complete with flashbacks, she tells a story of Jack setting up Ashley’s tea set. Oh how she adored her big brother. I remember that day, Ashley blurts out. Are you alright Miss? Dina asks her. Abby and Ashley think the story very ‘touching’. It’s the love we need to remember (which also applies to Vikki and her sibling, Vikki)

As Arturo fills Devon and Victor in on the project, Nick takes his Mother aside to warn her that it won’t be pretty if Dad finds out you’ve brought your ‘companion’ to his home.

Things seem tense, Reed notes. We were talking about work, Vikki lies. Given permission to go to his friend’s house for the night, a surprised Reed goes up to pack a bag. Should I go pack a bag too? JT’s left to ask Vikki.

Arturo finished his ‘excellent’ presentation, Nick tells his Dad that he’ll take his money – but this is about helping the homeless, not PR for Newman. The room cleared for a moment, Jack asks Victor if he’s behind Ashley suing him. No, but Victor WILL help her win. No, he’s not using Ashley – you’ve driven your sister away for good, he crows at Jack.

Nick’s home to tells Sharon how well the meeting went. Uh, why is she looking at real estate listings? Is Marian moving? No, you are, Sharon replies coolly.

After Reed leaves, Vikki asks JT what he’s thinking. He’s thinking how horrible it would have been of Reed saw me grabbing you. And me slapping you, Vikki’s glad he didn’t – we do right by him (even if we can’t do right by each other) Maybe we can, JT loves Vikki – what happened before will never happen again. We’re meant to be together.
