When Devon stops her from changing out of the prom dress, Hilary apologizes and worries what people will think of her lying. She should be long past prom drama. Devon hands the bag over; a tiara to crown his prom queen. You were robbed. Devon wants to make things right; you deserve magic in your life. He then puts the tiara on her royal highness’ head.
Phyllis is now in Billy’s office. He wishes he hadn’t thrown that memo in Jack’s face. She disagrees – that fragrance has no customer base – times have changed. Profits are what count (John would agree) And now it’s time to make out again.
On the CL’s patio, Jack gripes to Kyle – what place do I have defending Abbott values to John’s real son? Maybe Billy’s right – it’s time to change; use my skills and experience to start something new. Kyle can bring the drive; the killer instinct. We’d make an unbeatable team. See you at Jabot to kick this off, Jack says as he leaves Kyle to frown (clearly not onboard)
Arturo rejoins Abby at the bar to announce that he was able to juggle his work schedule in order to go to Miami tonight. Abby clarifies that both bedrooms have a great view. Not missing a beat, Arturo looks forward to seeing his room – and showing Abby his side of Miami; Little Havana.
Cue the lights and music; Hilary and Devon share a romantic dance at the station.
Jack catches Billy and Phyllis as they’re about to leave for a meeting. Dad? Kyle enters the office in time to hear his Dad resign. Don’t do this, Billy implores – not over a perfume. Our issues go deeper, Jack encourages Kyle to speak up. I’m not quitting, Kyle surprises his Dad. We’re done here, a disappointed Jack ignores Billy as he walks out and onto the elevator.
