Still at Devon’s, Neil’s on the phone telling Lily to give Devon some space. Nate comes down to say that Shawna wants to be alone. He thinks Devon might be in shock after losing both his baby and Hilary. Dropping by with condolences and brownies, Mariah’s not surprised that Tessa left with a resignation letter. She had to leave to pursue an opportunity. Mariah changes the subject – she’d like to do a tribute show to Hilary; as a gift to her fans and to make the ‘diva’ proud.

Bumping into one another on the CL’s patio, Phyllis removes her sunglasses. Yes, she’s been crying. Billy keeps his sunglasses on as he hugs Phyllis – he’s sorry to hear about Hilary and that he didn’t make it to the wedding (and a lot of other stuff) Revealing his black eye, Billy figures Nick looks worse – he deserved it. On cue, Nick arrives (also wearing sunglasses)

On the rooftop, Mariah rallies the crew to put on the best show they can. Sharon then appears to ask Marian about the train ticket. Mariah was going to leave but couldn’t abandon her family. No, Tessa’s not coming back but Mariah can’t say more. Sorry that Mariah lost both Tessa and Hilary in one day, Sharon gives her a hug and words of encouragement.

Billy and Nick go at it. Maybe my girlfriend doesn’t feel like talking to you. Maybe she’s no longer your girlfriend. As Phyllis referees, Jack joins the ‘Phyllis’ exes’ meeting. After Billy leaves, Nick and Jack both offer Phyllis condolences then head inside to talk business. Jack’s enthusiasm for Dark Horse taking Fenmore’s from Jabot leads Nick to say his company isn’t about revenge and if that’s what motivates Jack, this arrangement won’t work.

In Billy’s office, Summer will stay out of his conflict with her Dad. He’s obviously wrong about you being a bad influence on me – if anything, I was the one leading YOU astray (trying to anyway)

Devon’s determined to focus on work when Nate and Neil arrive at HWG to update that Mariah’s doing a special show today. Come up to the rooftop to watch? No – Devon’s busy (and walks out)

Back at CL’s, Jack won’t use his position to settle personal scores – but wasn’t Dark Horse created as a vendetta against Victor? Well yeah, but that won’t be Nick’s mission statement. He just wants to turn the Newman name into a positive one and make Dark Horse a force to be reckoned with. Jack sees this as a fresh start for him too. Tell me what you need and it’s yours.

Summer thinks that Billy’s better off without her Mom – now you can act on your impulses. Billy’s first impulse it to remind Summer that they’ve had this talk before. You’re sharp, hot as hell and single – what’s stopping us? Summer flirts blatantly.

At the club’s bar, Jack and Phyllis raise a glass to the woman they were both blessed to have in their lives. How is Phyllis? Angry and scared. In tears, she faces her own mortality and updates that Billy’s not making it easy for her to give him a second chance. She loves him but isn’t sure he’ll ever change.
