Across the hall, at Neil’s, Shawna and the Winters/Ashby family wonder what’s going on between Devon and Lily. Mattie sides with Shawna – hiding the truth was wrong. Nate defends Cane’s decision and Neil hopes Devon forgives Lily.
Devon snatches a framed photo of him and Hilary from Lily’s hand – you hated her and told her every chance you could. Lily apologized to Hilary and she forgave me. Devon won’t – you killed my wife and the baby you tried so hard to prevent. Lily will regret the accident for the rest of her life. Devon regrets leaning on Lily. You got your wish – you must be relieved that Hilary’s gone.
Showing Phyllis to the elevator, Billy would love to see her elsewhere; not in his stuffy office. No, he doesn’t have a poker game going on and to prove it opens the door to tell the three people he’s having a business meeting with that he’ll just be a minute. Phyllis now wonders if this has to do with Fenmore’s. What Billy’s doing is good for Jabot – trust me. He returns to his office, closing the door in Phyllis’ face.
Vikki takes a seat to hear Nick out. She wishes him the best but again declines a position at Dark Horse. Dad made me COO and promised that NE will be mine one day. Dad breaks promises, Nick reminds and saying there will always be a spot for Vikki at Dark Horse, leaves.
Victor and Nikki are still at their private table at the club. She wishes Nick has been invited; surely you admire him for starting his own company. He is his Father’s son. Victor knows what Nikki’s trying to do but he and Nick no longer have a relationship. Nikki loves Victor but will never give up on reuniting her family.
Neil stands to confront Cane for lying yet again. Mattie agrees – if Shawna and Charlie told the truth Uncle Devon wouldn’t be so angry. Cane points out that there’s more at stake – do you all want Lily to be in trouble with the law???
Lily never wanted Hilary gone – would never run a red light, especially with her son in the car. She’ll carry her guilt for the rest of her life. Please don’t let this tear us apart. Going upstairs, Devon tells Lily to go be with her family (leaving her to cry alone)
