Ashley meets a gentleman at the club. Our arrangement’s worked out well until now. I got a letter today, he says. Spotting Neil eyeballing her, Ashley runs over to the bar. Assuming she’s on a date, Neil’s OK with that – and is dragged over to be introduced to Andrew; from a consulting firm. I’ll let you get back to it – have a nice day, Neil leaves Ashley to force a smile at Andrew.

Telling Nick to get rid of the files he hacked, Jack delivers a backhanded compliment – impersonating JT was a Victor move; didn’t know you had it in you. Nick’s getting sick of being compared to his Father. All men measure themselves against their Father – even Victor. Anyone would compare favourably to that bastard Albert Miller, Nick snarls.

Lola arrives at CL’s to apologize for being late to meet Abby (who she follows online) My sister, the chef, is a big fan. Lola invites Abby to her food truck for free food. Abby will be happy to post about Lola’s great food because Rey’s doing her a favour by issuing a statement on Nick’s arrest. There’s a catch, Artur warns – and isn’t happy to hear that Lola’s called Rey.

Billy returns Katie’s Ellie the elephant toy to Vikki’s office. His second good deed for the day is taking her to lunch. Too busy, Vikki’s hearing about his meeting with Ashley when his sister calls to ask what the hell he’s thinking by cancelling her contract with Type A consulting. I should have known better than to give you the benefit of the doubt ~click~ She then returns to update Andrew that she’s put Billy on notice and won’t trust him again. She pulls out her chequebook to pay Type A from her personal account.

Kyle drags Summer into Billy’s office to lecture her on wanting comfort. I’m not your safe BFF – my life doesn’t revolve around you. He has ‘drive’, just like she does. We’d rip each other to shreds. Summer disagrees and doesn’t want to lose Kyle. You still care about me, right? Kyle wants to move on – the end. Summer looks scared.

Whining about how he’s treated by Jabot, Billy defends his popcorn machine and ‘home runs’ like Birthday Suit. They have no faith in my abilities and are mad that I won’t remove the blood Abbott clause. Do the board members know about your gambling? Vikki’s blunt.

Jack easily gets Nick to discuss him and Victor going to see Albert Miller – looking for respect for all he’d accomplished. The rejection fuels him. How do you fight a ghost? And here he is, alienated from his son too. Nick hopes never to hear the name Alber Miller again. As Nick walks out, Jack looks devastated.

Abby watches as Arturo and Lola debate her seeing Rey. She suggests that he’s ‘matured’ and wants to reconnect with family. Arturo won’t budge and thinks Lola will regret seeing Rey. When Rey shows up saying he’s sorry for being late, it’s clear she planned the gettogether.

Looking at a photo of a young Albert Miller on his phone, Jack puts it away when Nick returns to ask is he’s alright. You made me sympathize with Victor, Jack’s surprised to say. Nick understands – we bonded over it but that didn’t last. He perpetuates the cycle Nick vows to break. Jack’s got a lot to think about.

No, Arturo wouldn’t have come if he knew Lola had invited Rey to join them. And as Arturo marches out, Abby has little choice but to follow.

Billy’s no longer being secretive about his gambling. No, Vikki can’t be objective – it almost got us both killed. Some people are addicted to sex but don’t have to live like a monk, Billy reasons. Some diseases are manageable, like diabetes. At least Phyllis understands me. Vikki knows she’s terrified – and hoping (as she did) that she can protect Billy from himself. Sorry he came, Billy leaves.

Ashley stops by Neil’s penthouse – knowing he needs reassurance on where things stand, she wonders how she can help ~kiss~

Not understanding why Arturo won’t make amends with his brother, Abby follows him into Nick’s office. I wish you’d trust me, Arturo asks Nick if he’d ever make amends with his Father. Jack listens as Nick claims that he won’t forgive Victor in this lifetime – we’ve passed the point of no return.

Rey can’t get over how much Lola’s grown up – Arturo’s still stubborn. I ambushed him, Lola takes the blame – then launches herself into Rey’s arms for a hug.

As Nick and Arturo talk business, Abby chats with Jack – who wants her to promise not to tell Victor that Albert Miller might be his Father.

Is Neil reassured? Very, he massages her shoulder in bed. Ever feel like you spend your life putting out one fire after another? she snuggles in. Neil thinks Ashley needs a break. No, there’s too much going on, she disappoints him.

Billy caves in and responds to the email – I’m in.
