I’m looking for my husband, Mia takes a seat at Rey’s desk (he’s in a meeting) She’s impressed by all Sharon’s able to juggle – how was your date last night? Date? Oh, nothing special. Mia’s surprised Sharon hasn’t been snapped up. Sharon has been ‘snapped up’ – I almost remarried my ex recently. Mia confides that she and Rey were on a break but are back together now – and giggles when Sharon denies that she and Rey are ‘close’.

At CL’s, Tessa struggles with Lauren’s complicated order. Ester comes over to lend a hand. On her phone, Lauren’s making arrangements for the photo shoot. Unfortunately, Pierre’s not available to do Phyllis’ make up. Ester can help with that too. Across the room, Tessa pouts over a text from Mariah – can we meet? Fine – meet you at our place, she replies.

When Rey arrives at the station, Sharon stammers the story of how she came to be his landlord and coworker. Nice to see you again, Mia smiles at Sharon and gives Rey a kiss – see you at home baby. She pauses to peek around the corner as Sharon and Rey share a look across their desks.

Lauren needs someone with editorial experience (which Ester doesn’t have) Mia appears to hand over a business card and recite her resume as a kickass hairstylist and makeup artist. Quickly checking out Mia’s website on her phone, Lauren’s impressed enough to hire her.

At the apartment, Mariah demands answers and won’t be made to feel SHE did something wrong. I want the truth – where did you get the money? Tessa sold a song – yes, for 230K. Actually – 250K if Tessa paid off her debt. This is all great news – why didn’t you tell me? Mariah needs to know everything. OK, Tessa admits it wasn’t just any song – she stole from Mariah’s journal again. I want to hear it – sing it for me, Mariah puts Tessa on the spot.

Lauren leads Mia and her industrial size makeup case into Phyllis’ office.

Sooo – how’s the JT investigation coming along? Sharon makes small talk and offers to help. Rey can’t pretend last night didn’t happen. Things could have gone very differently if Mia didn’t show up. But she did, Sharon states the obvious.

Sing the song. No, Tessa can’t because she feels so guilty about plagiarizing it. Devastated and in tears, Mariah blames herself for not knowing what’s real and what’s not. It’s not your fault, Tessa insists.

Rey had no idea Mia was coming to town. But Sharon thinks it good she did – she obviously wants this marriage to work. Mia’s beautiful, strong and ready to fight for her marriage. You owe it to her and yourself to try. Sharon’s rooting for them (but loses her enthusiasm when Rey exits)
