Seated at a nearby table, Vikki wishes she could start this year over. To new beginnings for the both of us, Billy toasts. Sauntering over, Phyllis is clearly not welcome and wastes no time mentioning that she and Billy have discussed what she said at JT’s memorial – guess you’re not as close as you thought, she taunts a clearly surprised Vikki (who suggests Phyllis focus on her relationship with Nick) We’re solid – isn’t that what I told you when you wanted to get back together? Phyllis drops another bomb on Vikki. I turned him down – he’s all yours – enjoy lunch, Phyllis leaves having accomplished her mission.

As Phyllis sips her martini at the bar, Billy tells Vikki that she’s just trying to cause trouble. Is it true? Did you try reconciling with Phyllis before me? Yes, but Vikki can explain. As she marches out, she bumps into Cane. Yes, his scarf is at her house. When can he pick it up? Now – he’ll pay the check and follow her. Billy’s left to accost Phyllis – what the hell was that? You’re jealous. Phyllis doesn’t deny it.

On the CL’s patio, Fen grills Anna. She won’t explain why she needs to keep this secret – trust me. Yes, ‘eventually’, she’ll have to tell Devon that she wrote the song.

At home, Devon’s on the phone with Mike – find out who set up the LLC; the guy who wrote Fen’s song.

Now home, Vikki slams her finger in a drawer as she looks for Cane’s scarf. Why is she mad at Billy? He, once again, managed to sabotage our chance at happiness. I found out that he turned to me after Phyllis turned him down. Now it’s Cane’s turn to confide – sometimes it feels like you’re out here by yourself. Vikki does know what he means. The scarf found, Vikki asks Cane to wait.

Joining Phyllis for a drink at the bar, Billy says she can’t help herself – she has to blow up happy couples (even her own) Phyllis doesn’t want Vikki to have false expectations. Billy now clearly sees Phyllis for who she is – and that he hurt Jack for no reason. Vikki will always be the love of my life, he finishes his drink and leaves.

Vikki and Cane commiserate about giving so much and getting so little back – going it alone. It makes you want to say ‘to hell with it’ ~kiss~

Nikki’s reading is interrupted when she hears noises in the house. Hello? Is someone there? Opening her safe, she pulls out her gun. Who’s there?! she aims at whoever’s coming around the corner and pulls the trigger.
