Back at the club, Phyllis confides to Kerry that she made a deal with the DA to protect her three co-conspirators and Jabot. This has made her a target. Who do you think will try to take you down? Kerry asks.
Kyle and Billy both work on a stubborn Jack to use Kerry to take Phyllis down – before it’s too late for Jabot.
Now home, Rey hands Mia a paper bag. She finally takes it and goes to the bathroom (after much whining that he doesn’t believe her)
Mike’s now at Dark Horse and updated on Nikki being blackmailed with a video stored on his servers. Surprised but pleased to know what the police are looking for, Mike’s happy to be ahead of the game for once. This is good.
Phyllis continues to bond with Kerry over drinks at the club. Billy’s out for blood and wants an Abbott in the CEO’s chair. Thinking a change of leadership a big mistake, Kerry pledges her support wholeheartedly. Whatever it takes – whoever we have to fight.
Jack tells Kyle and Billy that he will only go along if this is about saving the family’s legacy – not ruining Phyllis’ reputation. Count me in. It’s time Jabot returned to the Abbott family once and for all.
Nate has bad news for Arturo; neither he or Rey are a match. Call anyone you know to get tested ASAP. This is a race against time.
Mia brings out a test that reads positive. It’s a dream come true, she murmurs. Rey sits to absorb the shock that he’ll be a Father. Mia believes this baby a blessing from God. You have a decision to make, she places Rey’s hand on her belly. He’s clearly torn.
My Thoughts: Oh, here we go. How long will Mia be able to fool her detective husband into thinking she’s pregnant? Will she stuff her sweater with pillows until she finds a baby to steal? If she and Rey are so broke where did she get the money to buy a woman’s urine? I still find it so weird that a pregnant woman would incur medical bills. Having had four children I can’t imagine how expensive that might be. How will the Rosales’ afford it? And why doesn’t a detective make enough money to provide a nice home for his family? Perhaps Rey should have gone into construction with his brother…. Odd that Kerry throws her unconditional support behind Phyllis – while her BFF of decades (Lauren) is more objective. Oh well, it’s not like anyone expects Jack and Kerry to last … Even if Nikki’s found innocent of murder or manslaughter, there’s plenty of evidence that she (and the others) obstructed justice…. It’s not really up to Nick whether Tessa gets charged with blackmail. If the police have knowledge of a crime they’re obligated to investigate it … Any bets on who will be a match for Lola and can donate part of their liver? I’m guessing Kyle (or possibly Mia)
