Jack joins Abby as she’s deep in thought. It would be a miracle if a liver donour was found for Lola but what’s really troubling Abby is that video of JT’s body being carried out of Vikki’s house. I wish she’d have confided in me. It’s heartbreaking that her sister went through this alone. Jack’s here for Nikki – and for Abby too ~hug~

Summer finds Phyllis still in the hallway, gathering her thoughts. Yes, she’s thought about skipping town. Just kidding – her job is to tell the jury the truth; how terrifying that night was so they show the others some mercy. After a brief update on Lola, Phyllis is about to go into the courtroom when Nick comes along. Mom’s doing this for the right reasons, Summer insists. Nick’s not cool with Phyllis making a deal with the DA to save herself and imprison his family. Chris appears – come on – time to do this.

On the stand, Phyllis tells the jury that they were all surprised when Vikki confided that JT was abusive. Did Nikki’s demeanor change? Chris asks. She was heartbroken, deeply concerned, Yes, angry (as any Mother would be) Hearing noise upstairs, they all ran up to find JT attacking Vikki as she screamed ‘stop’. Was he hitting her? He was pounding on the dresser. Didn’t Vikki confess earlier that night that she had hit JT? Phyllis doesn’t recall. If so, she was no threat to JT. He was murdered that night, Chris reminds. It wasn’t murder, it was self-defense! Phyllis shouts. The Judge bangs her gavel to restore order.

Phyllis continues to testify. She and Sharon froze, Nikki grabbed the poker. This poker? Chris asks Phyllis to demonstrate. The bailiff summoned to stand in for JT, Chris pretends to be shocked to hear that Nikki struck him from behind. Show us where Nikki hit JT, Chris orders. She ‘sneaked up’ and hit JT from behind?! Is that your testimony? We’re done here, Chris takes the poker. Phyllis returns to the stand – people have a right to defend themselves from an intruder. He was a lawful resident there, Chris argues. JT likely saw Nikki’s car so snuck in to avoid a scene. He was dangerous! He would have killed Vikki, Phyllis insists – it was self-defense (and is again scolded by the Judge) Chris concludes the facts are that Nikki didn’t make any verbal attempt to intervene – she applied excessive lethal force with a metal object to the back of his head. JT never knew what hit him. That’s as far from self-defense as it gets. Did you think about calling the police? Yes, but I talked them out of it. Chris now addresses the jury – that’s not self-defense. That’s murder. I’m through with this witness.

Mike begins by clarifying that Phyllis is a witness, not a defendant because she cut a deal; testifying to avoid prosecution for her role in JT’s disappearance. Chris stands to object – forensic evidence proves that JT’s body was buried at the park. Mike wonders why JT’s body hasn’t been found. Someone moved it – we don’t know how or why. Mike has no trouble getting Phyllis to admit that she hates Victor then hints that she’s jealous of Billy’s relationship with Vikki. Instead of retaining a lawyer, you signed on as the DA’s star witness’ not to help these three women – to save your own skin.

Britney’s turn. As Summer squirms, the court hears about the bitter history between Phyllis and Sharon (both getting pregnant while cheating with Nick) She thinks Phyllis’ strategy remarkably efficient – eliminating two rivals (Vikki and Sharon) with one day of false testimony.

As Phyllis exits, Summer runs out after her. Court adjourned, Mike asks for a word with Britney while Nikki, Vikki and Sharon discuss Phyllis’ testimony. The lawyers really did a number on her. None of them knew Nick and Phyllis had broken up but aren’t surprised. It was a mistake to ever trust her.
