Nate joins Abby at the bar with a proposal. If she can’t solve his riddle, she goes out to dinner with him. If she does, he donates the cost of dinner to charity. An appendectomy is to remove your appendix – a tonsillectomy is to remove your tonsils. What is it called when you remove a growth from your head? A haircut, Abby quickly answers – then is stunned to find herself face to face with Adam. When Vikki and Billy arrive seconds later, Adam really appreciates her coming. That’s close enough, a protective Billy growls.

Making sure Abby’s OK, Nate leaves her to confront Vikki – you knew he was alive??? I just found out, Vikki claims. Who else knows? Abby’s pissed – Nick, Nikki? Dad’s chauffeur? How long have you known?? It’s my fault, Adam jumps in to take the blame and defuse the situation – he’d like to get to know Abby (who then seats the three at a table and wanders off in a daze) Yes, we’ve met, Billy Abbott introduces himself like his full name should ring a bell.

At CL’s, Rey tells Paul that Mia didn’t mean to hurt Lola. The accident may have saved her life. Neither she nor Abby wants to press charges. Now having no court case, Paul does have an issue with the way Rey handled the investigation.

Sitting at a nearby table, Nate watches as Abby snarls into her phone. Maybe the next time Victor brings someone back from the dead, he can shoot her a text. Perhaps Adam will be the first Newman to consider her part of the family. Meanwhile, at their table, Adam confides that Sharon’s the only one he trusts right now. Can you tell me who Delia is? Snatching the photo, Billy fills in the blanks – you left Delia on the side of the road to die. I knew I hit her and left her there? Adam’s shocked. Yes, you burned her scarf – Victor found it and used it to blackmail you. Billy adds that his obsession with finding out who killed Delia destroyed his marriage; his life. You must have wanted to kill me – Adam now hears how Billy held him at gunpoint and is sorry. You can’t be sorry for something you don’t remember, Billy remains cold. Adam then shares Sharon’s theory that Victor left the photo to try jog his memory.

Arms folded, Billy suggests that Victor’s controlling Adam – he doesn’t care who he hurts as long as he gets what he wants. Adam can tell that Victor has plans for him; he prefers his life in Vegas and wishes he hadn’t let Victor talk him into coming to GC. Dad used you, Vikki agrees. It won’t happen again, Adam vows as he marches out. Over at the bar, Nate tells Abby that his drink offer still stands. Just friends, not a date. He won’t pressure her anymore (so leaves)

Still at CL’s, Rey understands why Paul feels betrayed. Paul WAS betrayed and is sorry Rey chose to protect Mia over earning back his trust. You were a good cop. You lost your job, marriage, possibly your brother; Paul thinks he can convince the DA that Rey’s suffered enough punishment (and avoid charges) Stay out of trouble, Paul says then leaves Rey to call Mia with the good news; Paul won’t press charges against either one of us. Now, we just have to wait for the results of the paternity test.

Adam bursts into Victor’s office to confront him – I ran down a little girl; killed her! Yes, he met with Vikki – and Billy. You downplayed my history; trying to make me into the man you want me to be. Adam now wants the truth – am I the man who’d leave a little girl to die on the road?! Is THAT who I am!?
