Everyone will need to move at their own speed, including Adam, Nikki mediates. But when she states that no one wants him to leave town, Nick and Vikki share a ‘what the hell?’ look. They know what Adam means to their Father so hope it works out for him. But, if we all have the same concerns about Adam, what does that tell you? It should tell Victor that none of us are objective about Adam. Victor claims to appreciate their honesty but won’t hear anymore. ‘End of discussion’, he snaps abruptly; sending the three kids scurrying out of his office.

Lauren’s back in Jack’s office, relieved that he’s not upset that she lied/set him up but frustrated that he’s not interested in dating so soon after being burned by Kerry. There’s someone out there who will make you happy, she’s sure. Officially clipping Cupid’s wings, Jack grins when Lauren gives him a quick kiss before exiting.

Sharon’s back but won’t give Adam his phone if he plans to use it to arrange leaving town without letting her know. She has to go get Faith now but will be back later. Now alone, Adam makes a call – hey, it’s me. I got shot. I’ll be fine. I know who did it but I have to shut down the investigation. Find me a fall guy.

Shouldn’t you be in court? Shouldn’t you be tending to a leak at the apartment? At Jabot, Lauren updates Mike that she failed miserably at matchmaking. It would be Mike’s honour to restore her faith in romance (by taking her out dancing tonight) The giddy pair dance their way onto the elevator.

Looking troubled, Jack takes Ashley’s invitation out of his desk drawer – ‘feel free to bring a date’.

At home, an emotional Nick hugs Christian.

Heading out, Nikki understands that Adam is Victor’s priority but doesn’t think he should be ’embarrassed’ of his other children. Nor does she agree that they’re ‘jealous’ of Adam. Vikki and Nick have reason to feel the way they do. Victor not only expects his family to accept Adam, he demands it. Without further word, Nikki leaves him to scowl at his laptop.

Appearing at his bedside, Vikki didn’t mean to startle Adam. Dad said you regained your memory. Yeah, but Adam wishes he hadn’t. Vikki also wishes she could forget what Adam’s done to her and the people she loves. But I can’t and I never will, she makes her loathing quite clear.
