Mike orders Scotch straight up at Society’s bar. Spotting Kevin on his laptop, he makes it a double (and joins him to ask what he’s up to) Nothing good, Kevin admits. Something tells me I’ll need another drink, Mike asks Kevin if he’s doing something else for Adam. I put myself on the line for you – you’re welcome. Kevin didn’t ask for Mike’s help; the pattern of me screwing up and you saving me goes back to Terrible Tom. Adam said he’d leave you alone if I did what he wanted., Mike reasons. Shocker – he lied, Kevin’s still being made to ‘do stuff’ – like this (he taps his keyboard) What did you just do? Mike’s alarmed.
Back at the hearing, Adam explains that he suffered from amnesia – he loves both his sons and regretting not being part of their lives for so long wants to make up for that. Her phone pinging, Brenda apologizes to the Judge. OMG, she gasps – I think you need to see this, your Honor. What on earth? The Judge scowls at the phone Brenda hands him. Nick looks mystified.
As Nikki looks out at the mountain view, Victor’s on the phone arranging the presidential suite, fully staffed and box seats for Saturday night’s symphony. They aren’t going to Europe but both enjoy these little trips. Victor’s seen a lot of places but nothing compares to seeing the world with the love of his life. ‘I love you’ they coo and kiss.
What happened to the old Phyllis? Lauren asks. Which one? There’s so many, Phyllis quips. The one who’d never work for Adam/Satan. Is the relationship purely business? Oh please – yes, Phyllis chuckles. And no, Adam doesn’t confide in me and hasn’t mentioned the custody case since I told him to drop him. Phyllis firmly believes that Christian belongs with Nick. Both hoping the Judge agrees, Phyllis thinks Nick has this. That’s what Mike says too – but if not, Mike will never forgive himself, Lauren looks nervous.
On the patio, Mike looks sickened by whatever he’s looking at on Kevin’s laptop. Is the Judge seeing this right now? Don’t look at me like that – Kevin wasn’t given a choice (by Adam) Pack your bags and go home, Mike instructs; no offence but I’m more valuable to him than you are. No offence but you’re fooling yourself, Kevin known that Neither of them is getting out of ‘Spider’s web’ (until they find a way to take him out) Don’t even joke about that, Mike looks nervous as a waiter passes by. Who’s joking? Kevin seems dead serious.
Back at the hearing, the Judge is looking at video of Nick (in the alley) removing his JT mask. It’s all over the news, Brenda comments. Nick tormented his Dad, Adam feigns surprise as he reads the GC Chronicle article on his phone. Nick terrorized his Father by posing as JT (who was on the run after trying to kill Victor twice) How could you do this to your Father? Adam asks as if he’s never heard anything so shocking. Nick’s caught completely off-guard – and looks it.
