Devon’s not trying to bribe or insult Amanda (who’s not buying this nice guy act) Why the sudden interest in how much I’m being paid? If this is really a lost cause, why are you so eager for me to leave town? People are going missing and Devon just wants Amanda to leave. Because I look like your dead wife, she guesses. Devon gives her two options – drop this and leave or go down with flames with whoever’s behind this scam.

Awakening in a dark room, Cane turns on the light and finds an envelope and a phone on a table. Look what we have here – he reads pages of Kay’s signed will.

Why is Christian crying? Chelsea hugs him then looks stunned when Nick asks Connor if he locked him in the garage.

You didn’t lock Christian in the garage did you? now Chelsea asks Connor – twice. He’s so whiney – what are you going to do? Send me away like Dad? Chelsea will never do that but this is really, really bad – go to your room and think about what you’ve done. With an unconvincing ‘sorry’ (at Nick’s request) Connor obeys. After Chelsea comforts Christian a bit more, Nick takes him up to bed.

Nate explains that he and Abby are on two different paths (realized after Victor’s charade) Having been on one double date with them, Elena believes Nate and Abbyhave something special – go talk to her.

Abby’s at TGP – resisting the urge to call Nate. As date flies on Phyllis’ laptop (downloading TGP security) – she mutters – poor Abby – you have no idea what I’m really up to.

Downstairs, Chelsea and Nick butt heads over her trying to reach Adam. He’s dangerous to everyone we care about, including Christian and Connor, Nick thinks she’s just asking for trouble. We’re already in trouble – Adam caused this and he’s the only one who can fix it, is Chelsea’s stance.

When Nate comes in (looking around for Abby) Amanda assumes he’s there to play good cop (to Devon’s bad cop) Why are you putting yourself through all this? he has to ask. Now that’s a very good question, she smiles.

Nick and Chelsea have summoned Phyllis. She already tried to make Adam come back for Connor’s sake – he said his son would be better off without him. She doesn’t believe that they aren’t setting Adam up. Chelsea wouldn’t use her son as bait. Please help us, she begs. Nick adds reassurance – we just want Adam to do the right thing for one. Phyllis texts them Adam’s location – but don’t thank me yet. You have to get him back here.

Amanda’s never given up on a client or lost a case. Nate once could say he never lost a patient but had to learn to adjust his expectations. Doctors aren’t God – we just do the best we can. Amanda could have wrapped this case up in days if her client cooperated. Yes, she had a partner – he died. Sorry to hear it, Nate can tell she’s homesick. Off to find Abby, Nate’s wished good luck and says the same to Amanda.

Cane leaves the room with the envelope in hand and leaves Jill a message. I’m coming home – with the original pages of Kay’s will.

Nick won’t let Chelsea go to Vegas – he’ll go bring Adam back. Thank you so much, she hugs him.
