Adam kept his word and was a good Father to Connor, Chelsea tells Victor – he left so broken that he thought Connor would be better off without him. And now Connor thinks his Dad doesn’t love him. My son’s in agony and won’t listen to me. Victor feels bad and understands. Connor returns – can we go to the park now? Victor enjoyed the visit and will take him to the park soon. Arm in arm, Mother and son leave Victor to sigh.

Nick lists Connor’s recent behavior – he’s misbehaving at home and at school; he hit a kid the other day and locked Christian in the garage for over an hour. Chelsea’s afraid her son will turn into you. That’s why I left, Adam reasons. Connor would be better off if he thought I was still dead. Nick can’t disagree – but you’re all Connor talks about. The texts you ignore from Chelsea’s phone are sent by him. Adam’s sorry to hear all this but won’t go back to GC.

Ms Nelson having left, Cane, Jill and Ester discuss the revelation. Cane doesn’t understand why Kay gave him billions of dollars – I’m not even family. Yes, she loved me – but she loved a lot of people. She saw something special in you, Jill doesn’t seem surprised at all – Kay considered you family. All worry about Devon – this inheritance was personal to him; a sign that Kay believed he’d do good things. If Tucker perpetrated this fraud, it’ll be a double whammy; a betrayal. Cane won’t look back at how different the last six years could have been if he had 2 billion dollars – he can only look forward. You both know what you need to do next, Ester concludes solemnly.

What night was that? Dina doesn’t remember. Were you and Stewart close? Jack prods. Dina wants to go home – now. Traci comforts her Mother while Jack goes to get her coat.

Adam’s sure Chelsea will get Connor the help he needs. He’s not being callous – he’s doing what’s best for his son. Chelsea worries history will repeat itself, Nick persists – she’s afraid that Connor will be as scarred as you were. Enough! Adam maintains that he’s doing what’s best for Connor. Now get the hell out of here, he opens the door.

The statute of limitations may have expired but Cane, Jill and Ester know Kay would want her wishes to be respected – when the truth comes out and the shock wears off, we’ll know if Devon feels the same way.

Back from returning Dina to the facility, Jack regrets pushing her about Stewart Brooks. Don’t blame yourself, Mother wasn’t upset – as always, Traci’s kind words are appreciated. Jack sees the boxes of memorabilia are open again. Yes, and Traci found something interesting – an invitation to the senior prom after-party – at the Abbott house – June 3rd – the year of Mother’s senior year (not Dad’s) There’s a handwritten note on the back – ‘D – come tonight, please. I promise I’ll change your mind, ‘S’. Could this be the ‘wonderful, terrible’ night Mother referred to? If it was, whatever happened between them – happened right here in this house, Traci’s sure.

You’re going to regret this, Nick warns. Go back to your cozy life, raising my sons with the love of my life, Adam snarls. On cue, Chelsea calls Nick from Memorial – Connor fell off off the top of the jungle gym in the park and broke his arm! Nick’s thankful it wasn’t more serious. Any idea why Connor did that? Maybe he thinks he’s invincible like his Father and Grandfather, Chelsea feels he’s still lashing out. Nick will be home asap – he’s with Adam now and will keep her posted. Nick hangs up and tells Adam that Connor jumped off the top of the jungle gym saying he’s ‘invincible’ – you still think you don’t need to come home??
