Elena thanks Nate for meeting her at CL’s to discuss a mistake she made (and corrected, Nate’s supportive) Don’t second guess yourself – your mind’s playing tricks on you and you need sleep. Don’t let issues in your personal life shake your confidence, he continues. Elena loves Devon, it’s not his fault she’s not giving 100% to her patients.

Vikki reads the note Billy left (along with a robe, rose and wrapped gift box) Hey beautiful; Katie’s on a sleepover – Hannah’s with a sleeping Johnny. I just needed to get some air and clear my head; treat yourself until I come back home to you. Vikki smiles at his thoughtfulness.

This is great, Kyle praises Summmer’s genius ideas. She’s sorry she made that stupid phone call to Lola. I should mind my own business. You won’t be alone forever, he assures. No part of you misses Theo and wonders why he’s hanging out at Society? He’s surprised when she says no.

Theo’s delighted when Lola brings out a new dish for him to sample – she needs feedback. This is so good it makes me want to hug someone. Call it Theo’s Delight. Who are you trying to prove yourself to? she repeats her question – Kyle? Like that would ever happen, Theo knows he’ll never measure up in his eyes. Lola will put in a good word. Can you be my guinea pig tonight? she has more dishes in the kitchen. Bring it on, Theo’s eager.

Blissfully happy, Vikki takes the bow off the TV remote and reclines to watch some TV.

Munching peanuts and drinking his beer, Billy declines to join a poker game and gives himself a verbal (yet silent) pat in the back for doing so.

Shutting out your personal life is a skill you eventually learn on the way to being a doctor, Nate adds that Devon can take care of himself – you’re preoccupied with saving your relationship. It’s a balancing act – I’ve got your back at the hospital, he asks Elena to trust that Devon knows what he’s doing. It’ll all work out in the end.

At TGP to ‘check out the competition’, Devon praises Abby for keeping things together with all the hiccups. The friendly rivalry continues. People like the vibe here, Abby won’t say that the GCAC is ‘stuffy’. Amanda’s still checked in here, right? Devon fishes for info – meeting clients in the lounge? he assumes. She’s the last person you’d want to run into, Abby assumes.

When Billy comes home, Vikki leaps into his arms. What did I do to deserve that? he wonders. Everything – the wine, the chocolate; time to relax, she gushes – it’s like you read my mind – you’re a perfect non-husband. I’m not perfect, Billy’s humble. You’re perfect for me. I want to show you how happy you make me. Billy doesn’t look as happy as they hug.

Eat, Lola commands. Pleasing to the eye, Theo plays the role of food critic. Which one do you like best? Lola asks. This one’s a 5 – that one’s a 5. This one’s a 5 and a half. Alarmed to hear that Lola’s replacing her spinach empanadas, Theo threatens to protest. Lola will make them just for him – our little secret. Deal, Theo likes secrets.

Summer wants to be seen as a team player, a hard worker – not some ‘lame-o’s girlfriend’. Kyle thinks her one a kind in an off the rack world. This sounds corny – blame the lack of sleep, but you’re invaluable; more than you know. No, he doesn’t want to go home. I’m exactly where I want and need to be. Summer manages to hide her delight.

Abby will keep Devon’s secret. What secret? That he wants Amanda to leave. She’s usually here working, Abby guesses she has other things to do tonight. Devon tells her to keep up the good work and as soon as he’s alone at the bar, does an online search on his phone of Ripley Turner.

Yes, Vikki does know how much Billy loves her. The voice in his head continues as Vikki blathers on that she feels like he’s transformed – recalling that night she found him outside the bar years ago. I had no idea this is the man you could be. We uncovered the real you. Billy hugs her again, still looking miserable.

Amanda arrives at Society and answers her phone – hello? Hello? She looks around nervously as ominous music plays.
