Chance updates that the feds tracked Collin to Buenos Aires but they missed him by less than an hour. Devon’s not encouraged. Chance is – the noose is tightening and Collin will soon make the mistake that gets him caught.
Abby gives Lola a hug – how are you feeling? Better than I probably should. Abby’s more alarmed than Lola by her run in with Kyle and Summer – you’re a better person than I am. Lola’s decided to move on. Back to Miami? Abby panics. Lola’s dream is to open her own restaurant.
Don’t look now but isn’t that the guy who handled PR for TGP opening? Chloe glances towards the bar. Good looking? Yes – that’s Theo, Chelsea sneaks a peek – he brought the crazy girl who spiked all the drinks. Chloe recognizes a bad boy – like the men they’re both with. They don’t exactly play by the rules either.
Phyllis is going to turn over a new leaf; she’ll no longer get bogged down by the negativity of others. You’re tha cause of other people’s negativity, Adam could gather a big crowd who’d agree. Gather away, Phyllis thanks Adam for pushing her in the right direction. Chelsea loves you so much; she’d do anything for you. I hope you know how lucky you are, Phyllis leaves Adam to looks concerned.
Is now the time to make such a big decision? Abby suggests Lola wait before taking such a big step – she’ll ban Kyle and Summer from Society if necessary. Lola appreciates the support but is determined to open a restaurant. Her Mom helped her make the decision; she raised three kids, worked 2-3 jobs to make a good life for us. Lola wants to build her own good life. Yes, in Miami. But Lola will be going back and forth. Abby squeals in delight ~hug~
Elena and Devon are getting on the elevator when Adam gets off to make some snide comments about tonight’s gala – everyone kissing his Dad’s ring. When Devon takes exception, Adam gets it – he didn’t know Devon was a charter member of the Victor Newman fan club. You really have no clue how good you have it, Devon realizes with some amusement.
When Theo sends drinks over, Chelsea and Chloe are delighted – is he hitting on us? Chloe stands to show off her round belly. We’ve still got it, they crow. Chelsea isn’t looking forward to tonight’s gala. All those Newmans in one room is never pretty.
At Jabot, Summer can’t believe how well Lola’s doing – admitting she’d be drowning herself in ice cream. Kyle thinks Lola an incredible woman; she wants us all to move on. This is our time now – no more tip toeing around.
As Elena holds the elevator door, Adam continues to whine about Victor. He’s your Father, you’ll miss him when he’s gone, Devon snaps – he misses Neil and we put each other through hell. You have an opportunity to make amends. What you do with that opportunity is up to you. Adam’s left to think as the elevator doors close.
With one more hug, Lola leaves a relieved Abby with Chance. They’re kissing when Phyllis appears to blather on about what an adorable match they make – how nice this must be for both of you (Abby after kissing so many frogs; Chance leaving a life of danger) I hope I didn’t spoil anything. I hope the rumours aren’t true. What are you trying to stir up now? Abby snarls.
If Lola’s OK with it, Summer figures no one at the party should have anything to say. Kyle agrees – he wouldn’t be able to pretend they’re just friends anyway. Everyone would know how much he loves Summer (though as he hugs her, he looks troubled)
Theo welcomes Lola back to Society. How are you? Do you wanna talk? Lola’s fine – what she wants to do right now is cook. Thanks for asking. Theo looks disappointed as she briskly walks into the kitchen.
Phyllis claims to have unfortunate news – a potential lawsuit from guests sequestered in their hotel rooms during a hostage situation (you can thank Chelsea for that) When Chance ends the conversation by saying he has a present for Abby upstairs, Phyllis claps – oh how cute.
Arriving with Chloe, Chelsea’s taken aside by Phyllis for a private word. She has a proposition for her. Not interested? You should be unless you want Adam going to prison.
My Thoughts: Chloe and Chelsea really need to dial their egos back a bit if they think Theo’s hitting on them – they’re middle aged women looking at him like he’s an item on the menu … Abby ‘heard’ Chance was back in town? Does that mean someone on her staff spotted him returning to the hotel and reported back to her while he didn’t even think to call her from the airport? …. How on earth did Kyle keep a straight face when praising Summer for her ‘sensitivity’ where Lola’s concerned? And despite promising Jack that they wouldn’t rub it in Lola’s face, Kyle and Summer couldn’t find another place to have coffee beside the one Lola happens to live above? …. Kyle certainly is a chip off the old block – never satisfied with what he has. A few months of working, living and spending every waking hour with Summer ought to drain him physically and emotionally … Happy Valentine’s Day.
