Kyle’s put on a classic movie; The Awful Truth. Black and white? Summer groans. OK, but you owe me. When the internet suddenly goes out, she decides they should go watch it at the Abbott house – your family’s probably still at the Chancellor Estate traipsing down memory lane.

Hearing about the story of the Teardrop of Love, Nina’s told that Traci’s already got dibs on the book but she can write the screenplay. There’s magic in those precious gems, Jack insists.

After a wonderful time, the Abbott siblings exchange kind words with Ester and Nina. Jack pauses a moment to smile up at Kay’s portrait before leaving a quickly jotted note; something about a magical night – sweet dreams.

Well hello you two, Sally didn’t know Kyle and Summer were back together – and how exciting for Summer to be taking over the reins at JVC – if you need any advice, she has experience running her own multimillion-dollar business; there’s nothing I don’t know. Don’t let her get under your skin, Kyle says as they leave to go watch the old movie.

In TGP lounge, Billy updates Lily on the wedding. She’s sure no one thinks he shot Chance. Wait, he thinks that? she’s surprised.

Billy doesn’t know what Chance thinks but hopes he keeps an open mind – maybe it’ll all blow over by the time he and Abby return from their honeymoon. Approving of Lily’s idea to clear his name via time-stamped footage of him entering and exiting ChanceCom, Billy adds that Victor had Adam committed. He’s got plenty of minions to do his dirty work – I need a safe place to sleep 😉

Summer! What a nice surprise, the Abbott trio are delighted. She and Kyle are there to watch an old movie. Kyle enters with a blanket – looks like we’ll need a bigger bowl of popcorn. Traci and Ashley are off to bed but Jack’s persuaded into sticking around. He’s sure Summer will enjoy the movie.

In their ‘suite’, Abby and Chance laugh about Kyle’s wedding advice then talk about their future kids. The next time they book a hotel, Abby will handle it. And when they hear rain, the newlyweds won’t let it dampen their spirits.

Lily and Billy discuss Victor’s poor taste. Jill must be happy though – she was devastated when she and Cane broke up. Me and Vikki too, Billy agrees. Jill Foster Brooks Chancellor Abbott Atkinson etc. isn’t really a role model for relationships. You had Dru and Neil; the real deal.

Summer abruptly turns the TV off – now she knows why they wanted her to watch this movie. You think I’m Cary Grant! He’s not my type, Kyle quips. Jack looks pleased with himself as Summer obediently puts the movie back on.

When Chance goes to pull down the murphy bed, he instead finds an air mattress. Let’s open up the box of marital advice. Nikki’s reads – love is patient and kind. This honeymoon is a bump in the road – the best is yet to come.

Is this big and strong enough to hold both of us? Flopping down, Abby gets up to search for linens – she can’t sleep on rubber. She finds a flannel blanket – we’ll make it work. You must love me to put up with this. Abby does – maybe tomorrow we’ll head off to Bora Bora. For now, they laugh on the blow up mattress.

After the movie and brief chit chat, Summer leaves Kyle to thank Jack for the advice that brought them back together. Jack’s proud of his son for not giving up. Stay out of trouble, he orders as they head out.

Lily suggests Billy walk her to her room to see what develops.
